Old Town Monrovia, September 23, 2005 (by Kent Kanouse). Later renamed Sam's Mediterranean Kabob Room. After being featured on the TV show "Kitchen Nightmare" in 2012, the restaurant closed in 2013 after 17 years in business.
14/9/16 #1353. Sam made the mistake of eating an apple when we got to the top of the Pico Veleta. He soon found a friend, in one of the horses that hang around the car park

Sam’s Guesthouse is a hotel located in the old Shaanxi Assembly Hall, which was built in 1663 and is famous for its classical Chinese architecture. The beautiful tea garden offers a great place to sit, relax and sip tea.
