This is Sam at Banham Zoo - sitting watching the world goes by today after a poor display because it prefered to find a dead rabbit and eat that than do the display ;-)

The Hanit (חנית/ Spear) is a surface-to-air missile developed for the Samarian military. The missiles have a range of 8,2 km, and a ceiling of 4,000 m, providing anti-air cover for the lower altitudes. Guidance is either via SACLOS, or a tracking radar (on the left). Combined use is possible, with the radar following the first target, and the operator manually following the second target with his optical tracker.
(It’s a Rapier, basically.)
