I have been thinking a lot lately about what my kids will do with their lives, what they will face and what they will become as time goes on. I think of all I have done and troubles I have faced and I am scared for them. They are still very young and they have no idea what is out there, good and bad. Sometimes I feel like all of the sudden a curtain opens up and you get shoved out into the world. I only hope that they are happy.
Lost my faithful companion of 14 years this past week. She was the best dog I have ever owned, and it's been a tough loss. We were definitely blessed to have shared our life with her. I love this quote I found by from Bernie Parent at Philly.com that sums up how our “Sam” lived life.
“For a dog, every morning is Christmas morning. Every walk is the best walk, every meal is the best meal, and every game is the best game. We can learn so much by observing the way our pets rejoice in life’s simplest moments. Take time every day to celebrate the many gifts that are hidden in the ordinary events of your own life.”

Sam came home with a birthday cake today! The months are flying by and old age is creeping up on me!
This the beggining of my change, said Sam counciously inside his head. The bombs, the wars, and the large amount of fights between nations have weakened our soil, weakened our lands and the whole planet. There is hardly any more drinkable water left on this new sandbox, this wreched and abandoned place....hope to hell there are no mutants out there...
