Der schöne Schwalbenschwanz hatte an einem Blütenstand des Wiesensalbei übernachtet und war noch etwas nass vom Tau. Auf dem Bild geht gerade die Sonne im Morgennebel auf. Ich nutzte die offene Blende, um die Sonne möglichst groß abzubilden.
The beautiful Swallowtail had stayed at an inflorescence of meadow sage and was still a bit wet from the dew . In the picture just the sun rises in the morning mist. I took advantage of the open aperture, achieving the sun as large as possible .

for a happy Monday and a good start to the new week!
Der Rosmarinkäfer stammt ursprünglich aus dem Mittelmeerraum. Dieser Schädlingskäfer breitet sich seit kurzem auch in Deutschland aus, leider auch in meinem Garten. Sicher, sie sind schön, aber tödlich für aromatische Kräuter wie Rosmarin, Lavendel, Salbei und Thymian.
The rosemary beetle originally comes from the Mediterranean region. This pest beetle has recently been spreading in Germany, unfortunately also in my garden. Sure, they're beautiful, but deadly to aromatic herbs like rosemary, lavender, sage, and thyme.
Kein anderer trockener Samenstand sieht so elegant und edel aus wie die Karde. Sie ist keine Distel, sondern die Karden sind eine eigene Pflanzengattung innerhalb der Familie der Geißblattgewächse.
Ich entdeckte diese kleine Gruppe hier auf einer öffentlich zugänglichen Kräuterspirale im Ort Telfs in Tirol. Im Februar findet man ja außer diversen Sorten Salbei, Lavendel und Oregano nicht viel - spannend wäre es sicher, noch einmal im Mai vorbei zu schauen.

The plant is a Mexican sage and it's one of the few plants (apart from the catnip) which Cleo seems to like. Occasionally I even see her admiring the flowers ... :)
This is a photo of Sethi I took a few moments after the one which I posted a few days ago and which showed him with his cousin Tofu when they were having a discussion about who had the right to occupy the place under the sage. Sethi won and he couldn't quite believe how easy it was. Tofu pushed off before Sethi could even hiss.
The Dragon was wondering why the bees are so fond of the sage plants in the garden and decided to have a closer look. I think he wasn't particularly impressed by the fragrance and still prefers catnip. :)
Jetzt ist er aufgeblüht der Muskateller Salbei und verströmt seinen betörenden Geruch. Schade, dass es noch keine Duftfotografie gibt..
Now he is flourishing the Muscat sage and exudes its beguiling smell. Too bad that there is no fragrance photography ...

Schon wieder mehr als ein halbes Jahr ist es her, dass ich einen der mittlerweile am 50. Geburtstag kratzenden Bundesbahn-Sechsachser fotografieren konnte. Da kam es mir natürlich gelegen, dass aktuell ein Kesselzug der WRS von Ingolstadt nach Karlsruhe über Darmstadt umgeleitet wird. Wobei man vielleicht auch sehen kann, dass das Personal auf der Lok zusätzlich ein Argument war, den Zug in Bickenbach abzupassen ;) Gezogen wurde der Zug von 151 017, die, wie man unschwer erkennen kann, bis Anfang diesen Jahres für HSL fuhr, bis sie von SRI gekauft wurde und nun für WRS im Einsatz ist.
