The owner, Mr. Wing Chow proudly stood in his cafeteria.
This cafeteria had been located inside the Sai Wan Ho wet market for more than 40 years, serving cheap but high quality breakfast in the neighborhood. Mr. Chow knew all his customers.
On every Sunday, the customers brought their sons and daughters, even grandsons and granddaughters along.

A tighter shot of the boats nearer the harbour wall with the high rise blocks across the channel in the background
I saw this view every day for six weeks this year. It never lost its appeal, day or night, rain or shine.
Shot in a dark, narrow alley in Hong Kong. This is a reflection of the tall, mostly older buildings that make up the Sai Wan Ho / Shau Kei Wan area. To me it looked like a site of destruction but the rubble I see is merely texture in the pathway. In my mind I see post-war debris. Perhaps that is a fitting feeling for HK today.
