Yes, I'm a girlfriend of a SAG member...I vote and I vote often. Duane received the following DVD's for his voting consideration:
The Artist (Yay!)
The Descendants
MoneyBall
Bridesmaids (I am not a fan...that girl was scary crazy, not enjoyable..seriously, the only funny part is Maya Rudolph pooping in her wedding dress in the street..does not make it a classic-overrated big time, there, that is my movie review of 2011..enjoy!)
The Help
The only vote that matters is Jessica Lange for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Drama...American Horror Story. Hands down, the best performance on TV this past year. Next to Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) on The Walking Dead who is not even NOMINATED! Shout out to Stephanie! You know it!
The movie I dug this year was "The Debt" GREAT movie...

Mingle Media TV and our Red Carpet Report team were invited to come out to the tree planting ceremony honoring the Screen Actors Guild Awards commitment to sustainable practices. The partnership with American Forests is a big deal as there will be a tree planted for every 22nd Annual SAG Awards attendee at the headwaters of the Los Angeles River enhancing the LARiverWorks restoration project. Amazing, right?
The Tree Plantings
A native tree signifying the initiative was planted at the L.A. River Greenway Trail pocket park in Sherman Oaks at the ceremony (we have embedded below). The City of Los Angeles Mayor's Office and Department of Public Works were on hand along with the SAG Awards with Committee Chair JoBeth Williams, Committee Member Woody Schultz, Executive Producer Kathy Connell and actor Katie Lowes ("Scandal"). Also representing their respective organizations were American Forests President & CEO Scott Steen and Los Angeles Board of Public Works Commission President and Chief Film Liaison Kevin James.
You can give back too - Text-to-Give
Guests at the 22nd Annual SAG Awards ceremony on Saturday, January 30 and the public are invited to add additional trees through a Text-to-Give initiative. It's easy to do, just text FORESTS to 80077 and you'll be able to donate 10 trees that will be planted for in the Angeles National Forest for just $10.
