A "well timed grocery store visit" found me trackside while CP 199 happened to be strolling through the depot with CP 7014 leading in the Script Lettering scheme. Managed to snag a shot (or several)

A closer image of the outside. I am not that tall, only about 5'5" and had to really bend over, almost crawl into this "safe house." The County employee told me they are researching the records to see if they can find the documentation they need to put it on the historical register and preserve it. At this time it is only history that has been passed down from person to person, that is to say word of mouth. There is quite a history over the United States regarding "Sundown Towns" which practiced the "Sundown Laws."

OK, so it was before 10am on a Sunday morning and not many people about, when I spied this little bike. And I had a good giggle to myself.
But for my photo, I wanted something else going on in the background, and so waited a bit.
Three lots of Muggles wanted to know why I was standing in the rain with a camera near this bike, and when I explained they just looked at me as if I was mad ... which of course I am.
Anyways, I'd rather be mad and smile at simple things like this, than a Muggle who misses the pleasure of the little things in life.
And why B&W ... the first vehichle to come along was a bright red van!

The Rua Reidh lighthouse was our focus for visiting the coast north of Gairloch. The previous owners had disputed public access to the road and any visiting 'toggers' or walkers not staying at the lighthouse B+B could (allegedly) face a hostile reception. With the lighthouse now sold on, it is possible to park just a few hundred meters away rather than have to walk 3 miles from Melvaig, though the approach road is a little 'challenging'. It wasn't possible to get a perfect shooting position for the lighthouse, with a climb up a small hill giving the best compromise.

I recently discovered a small European Serin nest on a pine tree in my yard. The 4 chicks were ready to leave the nest, so I was quite lucky to find them just in time so I could snap some photos.
As I left Birmingham New St, I came across Emma Safe who is a recognised artist. Her medium is charcoal drawing. Here she is working on a picture of the entrance of Birmingham New St. We exchanged pleasantries and she was happy for her picture to be taken as long as I sent it to her. I like the way I got the words Birmingham leading up to her working.

The safe zone! In a future over taken by dinosaurs the only survivable locations are the safe zones! 12 foot curved electric fences topped with barbed wire is enough to hold back any raptors but the defences don't hold out against the T Rex...
A footbridge crossing the M6 Toll Road, Brownhills West. It links local housing estates in the West Midlands to the local country park at Chasewater, Staffordshire. It’s a safety bridge to prevent users falling onto the road below. It’s is totally encaged in metal mesh.
