The very first image of mine through which I discovered my love for nature & people…the inquisitiveness about lives & life. The inner eye just popped open with this one in the Sundarbans one winter, not many eons ago. This was my first trip with a camera & magic happened that dawn while we were gliding through the mangrove forest of the Sundarbans. My heart jumped with this view in front of my eyes from our silent boat and I didn’t lose a second…like a pro I made memory of the scene. The juxtaposition of nature and people showing us the connectedness in bare awareness and still after all this we are annihilating ourselves with our selfish desires.
Taking a shot of Marsden Rock the other day when a father and daughter, I think, walked into the shot, and both went to pick up a pebble at the same time.

MilkaWay has a wonderful version of this window sculpture on her stream, also. Although taken on different days, the times that they were taken differ by less than an hour.
Endlich nach langen Stunden und Tagen des Wartens im tarnzelt am gewohnten Teich mal an einem völlig anderen Ort und völlig unerwartet diese beiden beobachten können
One of these is a 2 seat trainer - can you tell which it is? The black & white 'invasion stripes' worn by all allied aircraft involved in D-Day were to reduce the likelihood of 'friendly fire'! In many cases, the stripes were hastily brushed on, not neatly applied using masking tape as with these two immaculate examples. MH434 and ML407.

Tube trains pass each other beneath the streets of Clapham. This image hasn't been flipped, there really were two trains. (My 100th Explore)
another dream home for me. i think i could find one from every era and influence in architecture. pretty sure this qualifies as a cape though a true cape would probably have a center chimney. notice the lamp in the living room and the blinds in almost perfect synchronicity. the owners love their house and love an audience.
This little guy caught our attention for a good half hour when we explored Gowlland Harbour. Didn't seem shy as long as we kept our distance. A wonderful synchronicity indeed!
"Si vous y prêtez attention, vous vous apercevrez que des synchronicités se manifestent fréquemment dans votre vie lorsque vous en avez le plus besoin. Certaines d'entre elles nous rappellent, par exemple, que l'énergie de l'Amour est tout autour de nous; nous avons juste besoin d'ouvrir notre cœur pour la ressentir...imaginez l'Amour comme un flux d'énergie auquel vous pouvez vous connecter en tout temps."

"If you pay attention, you will find that synchronicities frequently arise in your life when you need it most. Some of them remind us -for example- that the energy of Love is all around us; we just need to open our heart to feel it...imagine Love as a flow of energy you can connect to at all times."

There are no angels here
Irony, thou art rife
Words oft spilled from tongue
Not always so devastatingly true
I thought myself the joker
But…
That doubt, thoroughly fixed
Pragmatism can be devoid of compassion
The mind is it’s own place
Can make a heaven of hell
Or a hell of heaven
Eternal doubt, pre-conditioned
To doubt own mind
My own avoidant nature
Mirrored in boundary set
Most precious obsession
Reflected manyfold
Increasingly inflamed impatience…
And did I not begin this with music
Ignorant, at first, of public pressure this would put upon him
My wrongs are many
Such ridiculous levels of synchronicity
Thought previously as signs of fate, magic and love
What love have we shown each other
I have been his worst nightmare, and he mine
Driven equally mad?
I am truly sorry for the explosion
Though apologies are as dust
I crossed a line, caused indiscriminate destruction
Have we been but ships passing in darkness
For my own sanity I must let go
I pray he is able to do the same
If we are both but twisted mirrors
Then he craves peace as much as I
It is when least deserving of compassion
That we need it most
Most treasured value
Compassion
Regretfully, Shamefully so
Morph
Taking a break
but will be back
never a ghost again
On March 11, 2011, before I took up photography, I was living in the desert in Tucson, Arizona. I was in love with making art using pastels. On that day, I was ensconced for several hours at my art table working in silence on this piece. No radio or music, just silence. This image came entirely from within ... I wasn't working from any photo or other image ... and had a kind of relentless 'I WILL be expressed' energy. When I emerged from that lengthy work session, I turned on the radio and learned that a massive earthquake and tsunami had struck Japan, endangering the nuclear power plant at Fukushima. I realized that I had been making this image, with its forceful, pulsing, wave-like patterns, while the earthquake and tsunami were happening. Synchronicity.
When I compare those patterns, shown at the link below, with the patterns in this pastel, I am struck by the similarity. www.livescience.com/39110-japan-2011-earthquake-tsunami-f...
Snow Geese (Anser caerulescens). Seen in Western Kansas on January 25, 2021. Looking closely, you can see a few blue morphs. There were thousands of Geese and the roar was incredible!
Humpback whales off the coast of Exmouth, Western Australia. They were almost hunted to extinction in the 1960s when the population fell to around 5,000. Today, numbers have recovered to around 135,000 animals worldwide, and 40,000 of them migrate along the Western Australia coastline each year.
"Each year between July and October, around 40,000 humpbacks journey along the WA coastline, and Ningaloo is one of the few places on Earth where you can join them, respectfully and responsibly.
These gentle giants - growing up to 19 metres long and weighing up to 40 tonnes - migrate between the warm breeding grounds of the Northwest Shelf and the icy feeding grounds of Antarctica. It’s one of nature’s grandest spectacles, and you’re invited."
