Beginning in 1952, the USAF decided to go to an all-jet training syllabus, and needed jet trainers to replace its current fleet of T-6 Texans and supplement its T-33 Shooting Stars. This version remained in production until 1973, with 1239 eventually produced. It would also serve as the basis for the OA-37B Dragonfly counterinsurgency aircraft.
The T-37, as designed, was a reliable workhorse trainer aircraft, and was liked by instructors and students alike, providing a prospective USAF pilot with their first jet experience before going on to the faster T-38 Talon. It replaced the T-6 quickly and later the T-33. Dad got this picture of a low-flying solo of the Asas de Portugal in 1978, at Ramstein; this was one of the first shows by the then-new Portuguese team. It was a bit cloudy that day. T-37C 2407 is still around today; she's currently an instructional airframe for the Portuguese Air Force.

54-2736 is one of the older T-37s on display. Delivered to the USAF in either 1954 or 1955, this aircraft probably trained hundreds of pilots in its long career; it was not retired until 1987. After that, it became a ground trainer for maintenance crews, and sometime after that, ended up on display at an airport at Carrington, North Dakota. In 2003, the Grissom AFB Museum obtained 54-2736, where she remains today. I snapped this shot in May 2017, sitting in the shadow of the F-105 Thunderchief behind it.
Bare metal is hard on aircraft displayed in the open, especially in the often-humid air of the Midwest. More than likely the Grissom museum will be repainting their Tweet in the near future.

57-2267 was delivered to the USAF in 1958 and began its career with the 3306th Pilot Training Group at Bainbridge AFB, Georgia. In 1961, it would be assigned to Reese AFB, Texas, where it spent the next 25 years with the 64th Flying Training Wing. 57-2267 concluded its career with the 71st FTW at Vance AFB, Oklahoma in 1989. After a brief period of storage, it was donated to the Pima Air and Space Museum in 1993.
57-2267 has been kept in superb condition, and wears the white over blue training scheme used by USAF trainers in the late 1980s and early 1990s, especially among the T-37 community. The "OK" on the tail fillet refers to Vance, as at the time trainers did not usually carry tailcodes. In the background is the T-37's stablemate, the T-38 Talon.

Dad got this picture by the simple expedient of shooting straight up as the Asas de Portugal came over in their opening pass. The team was in its infancy at this point (the Ramstein Air Show of 1978), and this was one of their first appearances. For a new team, they put on one heck of a show.
I never got a chance to proof these while I was setting type, so I never saw it in print until the class was making them.

I love the Korean alphabet! Created by King Sejong the Great and his scientists more than 5 centuries ago, it's the only alphabet in the world which has been logically & scientifically invented. Each syllabus shaped into its small imaginary square, it's beautiful.

60-0100 arrived at Craig AFB, Alabama in 1960 to serve with the 3515th Pilot Training Wing. After Craig closed in 1977, it was transferred to the 14th Flying Training Wing at Columbus AFB, Mississippi, but spent some years flying with the 19th Air Refueling Wing at Robins AFB, Georgia. Though nominally still assigned to the 14th FTW, 60-0100 provided aircrew proficiency flights for the 19th ARW, freeing up the wing's KC-135s. When it was retired in 2007, the Museum of Aviation requested 60-0100 as one of the few T-37s ever to be assigned to Robins.
60-0100 still wears the white over blue scheme carried by T-37s in the last 20 years of their careers, along with the CB tailcode of Columbus. It is displayed beneath the museum's MH-53M Pave Low IV; along with a temporary STEM exhibit, 60-0100 seems almost forgotten in one corner of the Museum of Aviation's Modern Aviation hangar.

Eighth Grade syllabusHello friends, here I am going to discuss about the overall syllabus of eighth grade mathematics which we supposed to do. Students often think that the only purpose of figuring things out is to get the answer with the minimum amount of ado and effort. But there are certain things which student needs to follow to get the desired answer in the most optimum way. If student opt to choose shortest path or longest path to arrive an answer then there is a possibility of getting a wrong answer so students need to follow the optimum path to arrive an answer. A daily practice and hard work is necessary to arrive at an answer. The most important thing to remember is that there is no alternative of hard work.
In 1948, the French Air Force (Armee de l'Air) began considering an all-jet training syllabus for its pilots, as the service began replacing its World War II-era equipment. At the time, France lacked a jet trainer of any type, and Fouga was approached to design one. Their initial attempt, the CM.130, was based on a glider design, but proved to be too small and underpowered. Fouga enlarged it into the CM.170 and replaced the Turbomeca Palas engineswith the more powerful Mabore. This met with the AdA's approval, and the CM.170 Magister (Magician) made its first flight in July 1952.
The Magister was certainly sleek, with a long, thin fuselage built low to the ground, thin wings, and a unique V-tail. The use of close-coupled twin engines gave an additional safety margin in case one engine failed. Pilots fell in love with the Magister: its performance equaled its appearance, even if it was still a little underpowered, had something of a low roll rate, and lacked ejection seats. Its handling was superb and easy, maintenance was simple, and despite being a primary trainer, the Magister performed like a fighter. It quickly became France's main trainer: the Aeronavale ordered a navalized version of the CM.170, the CM.175 Zephyr. The AdA's aerobatic team, the Patrouille de France, would fly the Magister for several decades. Eventually, 18 nations would acquire Magisters, and Germany, Finland and Israel would license-build the aircraft.
Though the Magister was a trainer, it had teeth. Fouga always intended the aircraft to be capable of weapons training, and if necessary, light attack duties. Twin machine guns were placed in the nose and hardpoints could be mounted on the wings. Armed Magisters would be used in the 1960s Congolese Wars (by Katanga), the Western Sahara War (by Morocco), and the Salvadorean Civil War (by the El Salvador government). Most famously, they would be pressed into service by Israel in the Six-Day War, where they were used against Arab forces--ironically, often using captured Egyptian rocket pods! Results were mixed in all cases: because the CM.170 lacked ejection seats, getting out of a burning Magister at high speed was problematic at best.
The Magister would remain in service with France and most other nations until the early 1980s, when it was replaced by the Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet by most users. Israel's Magisters were continually updated with new, homegrown technology, to the point that the IAI Tzukit license-built version was a Magister only in body. Israel did not replace its beloved Tzukits until around 2008. 929 Magisters were produced, and many have survived in the hands of civilian owners.
This Magister entered service with the Armee de l'Air, flying with various training units at Salon de Provence, France. It was withdrawn from service in the late 1970s and stored, before being sold to Airborne Turbine, Inc. in the 1990s. It was sold to a private owner in 2003, and in 2015 donated to the Pima Air and Space Museum.
As a kid going to my first European airshow at Ramstein in 1978, I got to see the Patrouille de France in one of their last years in the Magister. I remember how elegant and even quiet their performance was. This one is in a particularly attractive scheme.
