We're here member Pikespice turns 42. Happy birthday Pikespice! Sorry I am a bit late, but I got trapped on an Island, where I had to wrestle a giant ape trained by Brutus and the terrible Sea Hag.
In item 42 of Classic Comics, Popeye has tot deal with a giant ape trained by the terrible Sea Hag and Bluto to smash Popeye. The second story features Popeye with Swee’pea in an outlandish U.F.O. adventure. The third story features our two-eyed sailor with Olive Oyl.
Plus an O.G. Wotasnozzle comic and even more by the genius Bud Sagendorf!

My name is MV SWEE 我叫 瑞
One has to step down as development and modernization advances, this was what happened to MV SWEE.
In the older days MV SWEE was the vessel to serve Tatau town from Bintulu carrying goods and commodity. There was not road connecting these two towns and
it was the only coastal transportation available then.
Owned by Sim family, this small wooden boat has been physically restored and retained standing at the Sim Swee Joo Wharf for not less than 20 years after retirement.
早在三四十年前就靠這艏 小木船以海路川行民都魯與到達島。
隨著時代的進步和演變而淘汰，二十多年前沈家已把它給保留為家族遺物。如今被豎立在沈瑞裕碼頭看護著這几十年的船運事業。當年的努力今後的祝福。

This building the Saw Swee new Students Centre at the London School of Economics was the last I visited on the Sunday afternoon of Open House. I was leading a group of 12 of us from Bognor Regis Camera Club. The building was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize in Architecture in 2014. I last visited when it was in the Open House Program in 2014.
This is the bottom of one spiral staircase starting from the basement and believed to be the largest concrete staircase cast in place in Europe. The shot was taken at the bottom and there was a narrow space to get the image. Some of us from the Club took turns to stand there and get shots. This was an open access building for some areas with the option of taking a more though Tour which we opted for. We received a detailed 40 minute tour of the building with some fascinating information. The outside looks like an exercise in origami in brick and the inside has been carefully designed for minimum energy use
The picture was taken with a Sony A68 with a Sigma 10-20 wide angle zoom at 12mm. Taken handheld with 3 raw images 2EV spacing. HDR processing was with Photomatix using Fusion Natural preset for a natural look. Extra Detail was brought in with Topaz Clarity. Topaz DeNoise was used. The mono conversion was done with Topaz B&W using an underexposed preset for a darker look

Beatrice is not much of a seamstress, but when she came across something in her path, she just had to find out what it was. No one in her family sews, so though she felt every nook and cranny, she couldn't figure out what the odd contraption was. When her sister told her, she was very surprised and is still quite mesmerized by the machine.

After Swee'Pea arrived into his life, Popeye decided that he wanted to be a good role model, so he quit smoking and decided to promote a healthy lifestyle of regular exercise and eating healthy (lots of veggies).
