some stuff i got from the 2011 exhibits at the hawaii ascls meeting.

coolest thing i saw : "iris technology" machine that does diffs! you insert a stained blood smear or body fluid and it scans the slide and does diffs! including rbc morphology, finding abnormal cells/immature cells. and it takes pictures of them too. whaaaaaaaat!

also, i attended a workshop on blood group antigens by eric ching (immucor) and a body fluid cell morphology workshop by marian cavagnaro (this was really good). hopefully i can show you some hand outs of this later.

and did i mention, all the free coffee you can drink, all day long? conferences are awesome.

Het imago van de rollator is suf en oudbollig, onzin dus!

This is where you sit waiting for a skin that looked terrible on me.

OK side note here. That hair is a freebie. Don't I look like Gwen from Torchwood but with pink hair??

Getting free girly shit from Amore Pacific

Lowlands Festival celebrated it's 25th birthday in style. Sold out, a rearranged terrain and more freedom then previous editions. As a night reporter for 3voor12, I didn't get to see a whole lot of the day program and didn't take as much pictures as previous editions. Still, here's a bunch.

I like the swag valance on this one but I don't care for the way I was asked to arrange the panes at all. It just wouldn't do what I wanted it to.

Someone got some swag at her conference.

Seriously, this is out of hand.

New small EDC when the Roadhouse is too much knife.

M-Bone (pictured above right) of Cali Swag District was murdered in Inglewood, CA in a random drive by shooting. Police are saying it was a random act of violence. Cali Swag District is well known for their hit "Teach Me How To Dougie" which sparked a dance craze in 2010.

Totebags for Uglydoll and The Walking Dead, Doctor Who lanyard, Pacific Rim pins, T-Shirt from Strike Back, Acacia, and my favorite: the Fringe hat.

so, i know i've been talking non stop about "the confrence" and "the surgery."

They are kinda linked in my head since i'm having the surgery when i'm having it because i planned AROUND the conference. The conference. The conference.

It Is a lot of work. It is three really long days. It is like 16 hours a day where the staff has to be "on" all the time.

But, it is also exciting - 1300 staff and instructors all together, all with the same conviction and comittment.

And you know what lse it is a lot of? SWAG, baby!!

i got a Kumon cloth shopping bag, this leather folder/organizer, this NYC conference metal thingy, this awesome, awesome coffee mug, this gel-roller pen with our conference info on it and 3 others in other colors, a luggage tag i'm not smart enough to figure out, a business card wallet, and . . . NYC 2010 M&Ms! Woot!

Plussss, look at this sexay lanyard/nametag. Ohhh yeaaahh.
