Funny thing is my daughter and I saw everyone putting these on in a line. We jumped in the line having no idea what it was for we just thought it was another giveaway. They told us to put them on and they stamped our hand with a "NPH". The line was at a stand still and come to find out it was for a signing. We jumped out of the line. I've never seen Harold and Kumar before but after this promotion I think I might have to rent it. They also had a unicorn as a prop at the top of the New Line booth. *Thanks to all the companies who were there handing out all the freebies. It was my family's first time and it was definitly a memorable experience. We'll be definitly coming back next year and many years to come, but from here on
out instead of driving to and from Downey for 4 days (We missed Friday as we were just too tired) we will be staying in San Diego.
There were just so many cool things to see and the crowds added to the excitement of it all. Comic Con was comparable to a treasure hunt for myself and the kids when it came to the swag and the companies present didn't disappoint. Thanks again to all those distributing the stuff I have posted, they were the highlights of the swag loot we acquired. I hope there will be others here who will post some of the stuff we missed out on. I'm
interested in seeing how much other neat stuff was out there for the taking..free of charge.
Friday night we found ourselves hungry and too far to walk from some of Melissa's other recommendations, so we went back to Vortex.
I decided to try the Elvis burger - burger topped with bacon, peanut butter, and fried bananas. Our server rewarded me with some Pirate Radio swag for being brave enough to try it. Too bad we left town before the screening - we gave the passes to the person at the front desk of our hotel.

It was a good show. We were pretty close to the front. There was some moshing. Carolyn has a new appreciation for watching guitar players now that she's been learning how to play guitar using Rocksmith. "That guy's pinky was like a whole other finger." Clint got a pick from the guitarist at the end.

Throwing a rooftop party without having to walk up a stairs. It's pranks like that which makes me love Den Haag even more. Leave that to the people of Pip, who's second edition of the Rooftop Festival was seriously happening last saturday. Twelve hours of intimate open air happines near the train tracks of HS. :)

Since I'm not really very quick to get moving in the morning I rarely get the pick of swap meet bargains, but with a start time of 10:00 AM for the ANT open house and swap today antbikemike.wordpress.com/blog/ these were available to me for a combined $12.00. The TA rack and Simplex chain guard came from a knowledgeable seller who apparently decided to be Santa Claus today (thanks Brian) and the sprung hawk nose French saddle from someone who had no idea what he had.
The scene on Tryon St in Charlotte today. CarolinaFest is getting ready to start, and all the swag booths are getting set up. Mitt Romney may disapprove, but I like free stuff!
