Mural on the south elevation of the Piper Building (previously Watson House), Peterborough Road, London SW6. The building was originally built as offices for the British Gas Corporation (North Thames Gas Board) in the 1950s and was converted in the 1990s by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands architects.
The murals are by John Piper (1902-1992).

Courtney Pine was born in London to Jamaican parents. He came to the fore with the Jazz Warriors in the mid 1980s, and has since led his own bands. In recent years this has included the Cuban violinist Omar Puente, who I photographed in a very different musical context at the Celebrating Sanctuary Festival: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/sets/72157627027385999/.

SW6 Class tram 907 in static preservation by DERMPAV at Newport Workshops. The tram was recently in service on elbourne's tram network and was withdrawn in December 2014. The tram operated from the Southbank Tram Depot until it was transferred to Preston Workshops for storage. Following this, it was taken to Newport Workshops intended to be used as a Cafe for DERMPAV as part of tour/event days. Note: The tram previously had a Schunk Pantograph during its revenue service days and has since been given two trolley poles, as was original to the W Class trams.

An SW6 Tram built in 1948. Tram 939 was converted in 1994 to become a Restaurant Tram in Melbourne it was acquired in 2014 by the Museum and was refurbished for further use as a Restaurant Tram in Ballarat. It is named after Sir Henry Cuthbert who was the first chairman of the Ballaarat (Original spelling) Tramway Company who opened the original Horse Tramway in Ballarat.
