On the way to the Natural History Museum. This was when I had just moved to London and I was still a bit disconcerted by the beautiful fancy white fascaded neighbourhoods. But I'm just impressed by the effect now.

I couldn't draw for very long because I was stood in the middle of the road.

Chelsea Physic Garden having a microclimate, close to the Thames river, as well as being protected by high walls and buildings around its perimeter: these conditions favour the blooming of certain plants earlier than elsewhere in the region.
