Taken while out for our morning walk, Marnie and I got a bit wet ! Here we see a break in the clouds which lasted a few hours - until now, when it's coming down heavily again. Taken this morning with my iPhone and edited in Topaz Studio and PicMonkey. I know many people would love to have rain like this day after day after day - sorry if my complaining makes you cross ! At least we have water - lots of it.

Muchas veces me he preguntado qué mecanismos mentales explican la diferencia entre los gustos, las apreciaciones y los sentimientos que evocan en las personas la visión de diferentes aspectos, detalles y características de lo que la Naturaleza y la obra humana son capaces de mostrarnos. Y de mostrarnos gratis, casi como para cumplir la vieja norma de que todo lo bueno, lo valioso, lo imperecedero de nuestra vida no se puede comprar con dinero.
Por ejemplo: ¿por qué a algunos les apasiona Picasso y el cubismo y a otros les fascina Velazquez, o Botticcelli, o Leonardo, o Michelangelo?.
¿Por qué hay personas que se emocionan hasta el éxtasis con una flor y otras con un elefante y otras con una imponente montaña nevada y otras con un mar embravecido?
Sí, es cierto que a los amantes de la Naturaleza y su obra nos emociona vivamente todo lo que tenga que ver con ella, pero también lo es que siempre hay algo que eleva esa emoción íntima hasta estados próximos al éxtasis visual.
Y ante esta maravilla natural que es el Parque de las Hoces del Duratón, complementado hasta la más inverosímil belleza con esa ermita románica, recuerdo haberme preguntado en mi absoluta soledad, en algún momento: ¿Por qué me emociona de esta manera algo tan agreste, tan cortado a pico, tan contrastado en colores y texturas, mientras que a otras personas les parecería un paisaje demasiado duro, inhóspito, casi agresivo para los sentidos?
Preguntas sin respuesta para mi, pero creo que buenas preguntas.

I remember that I had this vinyl album, I don't remember if they had given it to me or
it belonged to some brother among many:) At the time, I didn't have any translators, only the vocabulary of the English language. But who was going to translate? It was complicated and the lyrics of the songs weren't like "The pen is on the table". But the melody of this piece and the nostalgia it conveyed did not leave too many doubts. Some songs also speak without words...

Times are changing. Usually, I took the quickest way home. I am lucky as I still can do my job though with a little less to do. As a result I take a slight detour which makes me walk along the water‘s edge. That way literally followthe old Supertramp song.

I went to a parking house when I saw this old man going up the driveway. It reminded me of Supertramp's song "Take the long way home".
This building was built in the 1960s. The setting of the architecture, together with the man, was so surreal. I love how the person shows the scale of the building.
