Another shot of the RSPB's logo bird and former rarity the beautiful avocets
These two were busy protecting their young brood from all and sundry and spent most of the afternoon busy chasing off lapwings and mallards, including their ducklings.

Many thanks as always to all those kind enough to comment and fave my pics, or even stop by for a look. Although I am unable to always respond, your feedback is very much appreciated.

Also had a very enjoyable meet-up with Roy of this parish a few weeks ago. Pleased to report he managed to survive an evening in my company 😆

A work colleague and friend of mine celebrating yesterday at the end of his epic charity ride around Great Britain.
Dominic O'Sullivan's Ride to Remember was to raise money for Scotty's Little Soldiers and The OppO Foundation, two fantastic Veteran Charities in the UK. Starting in Kings Lynn he cycled up to two hundred miles daily for twelve days in a row, through thirty different counties, up to the most northerly part of Great Britain and back again.
Dom is asking the Veteran community, family and friends to support the bereaved children of our British Forces. You can sponsor safely and easily via the links below, thank you:
