For the 29th of January, a very nice weather was foreseen for Styria so there was no point in staying at home. Since on Sundays, waiting for a nice freight train could be a little bit tedious, a destination needed to be found where the passenger service is also interesting. Therefore, I decided to take a trip to the Mur valley. The Murtalbahn, a scenic narrow-gauge railway connects Unzmarkt with Tamsweg and served by the tiny little railcars built by Knotz in the early 1980s. A little pound right behind the stop Wallersbach offers a great view on the mountains behind. R 8709 is passing this spot with VT 35 and its driving trailer VS 44. While sitting there and enjoying some home-made lunch, one also can have a look at the line Bruck an der Mur – Villach, called Rudolfsbahn. In spite of being Sunday, a few interesting trains, among others a car transport train hauled by CDC 383.006, have passed by. Well, some fresh snow is expected to fall in the upcoming days. Stay tuned what comes next. But before the next tour could take place, one of the closest&dearest friends needs to be greeted as well as her name day is the 30th of January;-) What a luck that ÖBB always take me home...
I'm not sure if this is Greek or slightly Mission style but it's quite striking architecture to my simplistic mind. Holy Trinity Anglican Church is at 68 Hawthorne Street, Woolloongabba, Brisbane, a suburb that seems to have more than its fair share of ornate churches.

For Sliders Sunday, I made a composite image from two of my own images one of which is an ICM taken in camera at evening hour. There was some editing post blending. It now shows a truly gusty day!
Q365 accelerates south out of Ottawa with the 8527 leading the long train towards Cincinnati. The best way to cap off a day filled with standard cab leaders is with another one because you never can shoot too many.
A hefty Sunday Ludington extra crew rolls through Scottville MI enroute to Walhalla where they will drop their outbounds for the night crew to pick up, from there they will bring a small inbound back and do customer work in town.
