An image I took today taken at the eyepiece of my Celestron C8 telescope in celebration of Astronomers Without Borders SunDay event.

I made the filter last week and published a short film on its construction on Youtube.

March 2nd Exploring the neighborhood lakes.

On Sunday, we had winter breakfast on the beach - pancakes and maple syrup.

Afterwards, we went for a stroll along Thirroul Beach.

The sea was wild.

This is my husband in the foreground.

Bloody Sunday was an incident on 30 January 1972 in the Bogside area of Derry, Northern Ireland. British soldiers shot 26 unarmed civilians during a protest march against internment. Fourteen people died: thirteen were killed outright, while the death of another man four months later was attributed to his injuries. Many of the victims were shot while fleeing from the soldiers and some were shot while trying to help the wounded. Other protesters were injured by rubber bullets or batons, and two were run down by army vehicles. The march had been organised by the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association and the Northern Resistance Movement. The soldiers involved were members of the 1st Battalion, Parachute Regiment, also known as "1 Para".

Lazy Sunday afternoon.... a spot of Still Life photography of my 30-odd year-old AE1 followed by the very same glass of red while working in Photoshop; lifes good!

I was skyping with a friend of mine. We worked together in Oosaka.

He told me he and his wife made Japanese food for friends. And then I realised I

had frozen dumplings in the refrigerator. Boiled gyoza (jiao ze), tossed with oil in a hot pan, and served with quality soy sauce spiked with chili rice vinegar.

Rhiannon and Delyth out for tea last Sunday - proving that sometimes they do like to wear longer dresses and they can wear orange!

Sunday afternoons in autumn were made for football & beer!

On the left is Bell's Special Double Cream Stout & on the right we have Raspberry Ale from Dark Horse Brewing. Both are good, although, I prefer the raspberry brews from Perrin & Founders to this one.

The Drury Drama Team of North Adams, Massachusetts was the first school to purchase performance rights to Sunday Night by Stephen Gregg.

Jen clocks me with the camera as she reaches for the salt.

We invited her over for Sunday lunch, as we now can.

Anyway, after receiving detailed instructions of her timings for the d day and that she did not want to ave her dinner on a plate as soon as she arrived, I was being laid back and supping a tripel when she arrived.

It'll be 45 minutes, I told her.

What that long?

Well, you said.....

So it goes, so it goes.

But the food and company was good, the wine too.

Sunday afternoons should be spent going for a lazy lunch somewhere like Chorlton and listening to music at home with the paper, an added bonus to this particular Sunday was the Wimbledon mens final.

A bit OTT on the HDR but I really like it.

"The above mural depicts one of the events that took place on 'Bloody Sunday' in Derry on 30 January 1972. On this day the British Army opened fire on a Civil Rights demonstration and killed 14 people. The mural shows a group men, led by a local Catholic priest (later to become Bishop Daly), carrying the body of Jack (Jackie) Duddy from the scene of the shooting. Depicted in the background are the marchers carrying a 'civil rights' banner. The same banner became bloodstained when used to cover the body of one of those killed."

Sunday is a good day to nap
