The daffodils in this flowerbed in St Stephen's Green, Dublin, have been flowering since early last December. They are just getting better and better..

Rays of sunlight through clouds and haze.

♥ Thank you very much for your visits, faves, and kind comments ♥
I go to the gap in the hedge as often as I can -- I love starting the day by watching the sun appear over the horizon. It seems to tell me that I'm still alive. We've had quite a few days lately where the sun was obscured by the cloud cover. On this day I was lucky.

ABOUT THIS PHOTO:
I don't know what it is about the horse pasture across from my garden that makes me photograph it again and again, but it seems there's just something about it that enchants me, particularly on a foggy day. This is already the 4th photo that I upload here (and the third from practically the same angle) that shows this particular stretch of land - and I fear there might be even more coming 😉.
As I already described in the earlier photos, I took this shot on a spring morning in 2021 after it had been raining all night. By dawn it had cleared up, but the valley below our village had filled with mist, which started to rise as soon as the sun came up behind the mountains. I grabbed my camera and ran out of the house to catch the moment when the mist reached our village just as the sunrise sent the first rays of light through the trees.
It was as gorgeous a morning as you can imagine; the meadows were still wet from the rain, and tiny droplets of water were sparkling everywhere in the grass, illuminated by the sunbeams cutting through the ghostlike trees. I feel in black and white all those minuscule diamonds reflecting the sunlight come out a bit more than they do in color, and the same is true for the sunbeams, but it's hard to do the breathtaking beauty of that moment justice in either, and I'm already more than happy if only a fraction of the magical mood of that misty morning can be be felt by the viewer.
Anyway, I hope that you enjoy the photo; as always: many greetings from Switzerland and have a lovely weekend everyone - and don't hesitate to let me know what you think dear Flickr friends.

I went to Lake Samsonvale (aka North Pine Dam) for a sunset shot since the day was partially cloudy and there were some nice cloud formations that could generate a colourful sunset, but......Everything changed suddenly and the clouds turned grey/ dark blue and only could get these sunbeam rays before the sun disappeared into the clouds. A couple of birds on a dead three posed for me in the foreground to set this scene.
