Stage 7 during Casa Blanca, Warner Brother, Burbank

On our Warner Brothers studio tour, we passed sound stages like Stage 7, on the left. Having trucks outside them means they're busy with either a movie or a TV show being filmed. Tour groups are not admitted to them. (But we did see the sound stage in which the storm scenes for The Perfect Storm were filmed -- now dry, of course.)

Amgen Tour of California 2015 - Stage 7

Riders just after the start on Saturday of stage seven of the Tour of California in downtown Claremont. The stage would end 75 miles later and about 5,400 feet higher at the base of the Mt. Baldy ski lifts. With a big climb and descent in between. Yet at the start -- at 11:45 a.m. in the heat of the day -- these guys look calm, even knowing what's ahead. I want to puke at the end of an hour-long spin class. As for the photo, I just put the Nikon D5000 on the sports setting and held down the shutter release button. Light was awful -- I had to use the shadow/highlight in PS to make the racers' faces visible. This was my best shot, of course marred by the dude in blue grabbing his crotch. Bad time to rearrange the furniture, sir!

The spots are not caused by a pathogen or pest, but appear naturally due to physiological changes that occur at an advanced stage of ripening (overripe, ripening stage 7 for banana). The spots may appear prematurely if the bananas are harvested at an advanced maturity stage and then subjected to forced ripening, and/or if the ripening parameters (i.e.,. the concentration of ethylene gas in the ripening chamber, the duration of exposure to ethylene gas, the air temperature during ripening) are excessive.

Check out the post-race bags for each rider set up by the soigneur. I'm guessing they contain items to clean up, plus drinks and food for recovery. All the teams had soigneurs carrying bags at the end of each stage-- you could find them 200 yards past the finish line.

Richie Rude off the brakes in the corner!

The start of our return home.
