Des yeux étranges

the horbills are quite large birds used to feed on fruit and mainly insects, arachnids and small vertebrates.

but they are not used to kill aduld birds.

in this case an African Grey Hornbill (tockus nasutus) has cought and killed a social weaver.

In the truly symbiotic relationship, both parties gain an advantage by sticking together. For example, birds ride along on the backs of hippopotami eating insects. The birds are delighted by the plentiful supply of food, and the hippos are pleased to be bug free with little effort on their parts.

We all know that due to global warming the world has had some very strange weather indeed. But raining steel cubes?? This takes it to another level! 😂😂😂

We passed a strange day on Wirral peninsula with weather going through basically three stations: rain, storm, sunshine, biting cold, everything. Here an instance of the sunny period :)

I rotated this image in different directions, this being the original. I liked it the best. I did underexpose the image and I dodged the rims of the leaves which were already white but I wanted them to stand out more. Another one dug from my archives. I hope you have a beautiful day!!

thank you to everyone who takes time to look and maybe like :-) x

People are strange when you're a stranger

Faces look ugly when you're alone

Women seem wicked when you're unwanted

Streets are uneven when you're down

When you're strange

Faces come out of the rain

When you're strange

No one remembers your name

When you're strange

I’ve been doing light paintings with my camera for a few years. Mainly long exposure paintings but also with shorter exposures as in this image. There is always strange magic when shooting light. You never know what you will get. Strange Magic ( Electric Light Orchestra ) 👱‍♀️🎧🎶

This looks strange even to me. Two days ago we had fires on the mountains again. We had a little fog on some mountains which partially hid the fires. The mountains lost their familiar shapes and looked totally different suddenly. You never know what you'll get on this day as the fires are never quite in the same place and the weather of course varies from year to year.

I loved the almost dinosaur shaped feature on the beach, so Strange encounter by Father John Misty is perfect. You never know what awaits as you walk the sands. It's interesting to think that Icthyosaurs actually swam around when these rocks were laid down, as fossils have been found nearby.

Some really tall plants caused the bokeh behind these coneflowers, plus I was trying to shoot through some other flowers to get to the coneflowers.

The title came while listening to John Lennon's "Nobody Told Me".............."Nobody told me there'd be days like these, nobody told me there'd be days like these, strange days indeed, strange days indeed."

And the moral of this story is, don't try to title your photos while drinking wine.

It's still strange looking bokeh.
