Miyuki loves to read stories to her kitty Gilly (but the truth is that she doesn't know how to read yet, so she creates her own stories). x3 Gilly loves this!

Gilly was a birthday gift from Açu. <3

A Miyuki adora ler histórias para sua gatinha Gilly (mas a verdade é que ela não sabe ler ainda, então inventa suas próprias histórias). x3 A Gilly ama isso!

A Gilly foi o presente de aniversário que ganhei da Açu. <3

We are storytellers even when we sleep.

Not the best photo, but you can not capture the poetry of the Roncalli circus on a photo anyway.

Since 2018, Roncalli has separated from the last animal act, which has been used for years with horses and ponies. One would have opted for the welfare of the animals - and the emphasis of the circus Roncalli is on the poetic and acrobatic numbers anyway .

Most people would shine a flashlight under their chin when telling scary stories around a campfire, but Tigress thinks she looks spookier lit from the side.

Technical notes: I lowered the contrast to reduce the glare and make her face look a little darker. She's holding the keychain flashlight herself in her right hand, which is steadier than me holding it and trying to take the photo with one hand.

My dear friend Petr, rather a famous writer, actor and stage director, is telling one of his stories while also making a dinner salad. It's always a treat to spend some time with him and his wife Eva.

Kensington Market, Toronto

Quite the storyteller, albeit a rambling one, ranging from his life, the neighbourhood, his strong opinions on many things, to his thoughts on people passing by. I think he was just happy to have someone stop and listen to him. He didn't notice the periodic click of the shutter at my hip.

This woman was telling stories on Living History Days at Middleton Place. I wasn't fortunate enough to hear her talk because I was there at the wrong times. But, I know she must have been great at it. She mentioned that learning and telling some of the old stories really touched her.

She has been studying to learn how to tell her stories in Geechie, which from what I understand is a language or dialect used by African descendants along parts of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. If you want to know what it sounds like, you can find it by googling for it.

I didn't get your name, but I really appreciate you letting me take your portrait! Thank you!

When I look at this old gentleman face in my mind I see a person spinning a tale.

Every small town has such a character. They find gratitude with anyone who will stop and listen to them as they spin a tale of what was once and described in such a way that it gravitates people to listen closely.

Taken at the Malakoff Diggins State Historical Park, in North Bloomfield, California.

I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember the name of this character---but he is very famous in Kerala and tells stories from the Ramayana (I hope that's right) It's fascinating to watch as they are expressive not only with their face but also with their hands, feet, and body!

I find it interesting that R2-D2 has been around to see everything that has taken place on screen in Star Wars, with now the exception of Rogue One.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

The picture alone, without the written word, leaves half the story untold.
