THREE-IN-ONE – He’s not a fork. He’s not a spoon. And most of all, Forky is not a toy! At least that’s what he thinks. Bonnie created him from an assortment of supplies Woody’s retrieved from the kindergarten trash can. So, it’s no wonder Forky feels strongly that he’s trash and not a toy. Featuring Tony Hale as the voice of Forky, Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019. ©2019 Disney/Pixar. All Rights Reserved.
Read Across America is not just a celebration for schools, it's a nationwide celebration that touches every community. From daycare centers to libraries and recreation centers, everyone is joining in on the fun!
At one daycare, our littlest learners are spent the day exploring the pages of their favorite books and discovering new stories to share with their friends.
Meanwhile, at a local library, families gathered to participate in a special story time, reading challenges, and games. Libraries have been decorated with colorful banners and posters, inviting readers of all ages to come in and explore the endless possibilities of reading.
And over at the recreation center, kids are taking a break from sports and games to join in on the fun. The center has set up reading corners, book swaps, and encouraging kids to explore new stories and have fun while doing it.
No matter where you go in our community today, the joy of reading is in the air. As we celebrate Read Across America, we're reminded of the power of books to inspire, educate, and connect us all. So let's pick up a book, share a story, and celebrate the magic of reading together!

This is my first try at a 90 second story, I had to edit it down a lot to get it to fit the time frame. It's also my first time using iMovie, so if it looks like ass, that's why.
And the last two seconds that got cut off... "And I was totally baked."

U of T - Marissa Largo & the Magkaisa Centre
Maleta Stories
Marissa Largo - Toronto, Canada
Magkaisa Centre - Toronto, Canada
Installation, Visual Art
With the Centre for International Experience as its backdrop, a projected stop-motion animation of a woman kneeling before a closed suitcase, or maleta, is seen. Slowly, the maleta begins to unzip itself by a force still unknown. What emerges, wrapped in Filipino newspapers, is the embodiment of the histories and narratives of people who have come to this land. Facilitated by the Magkaisa Centre, participants are invited to share their "maleta stories" of how they came to be in Canada on baggage tags, which then become apart of the web-like installation affixed to the British colonial architecture of the Cumberland House, constructing a collective family tree of migration. A gallery of community-based artworks created by members of the Magkaisa Centre resides inside.

As the eternal saying goes, “it was a match made in heaven.” The union of Stephen and Jenn Redmond at the opulent Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center on the property of the San Ramon Golf Club in San Ramon, California was a most glorious and transformative day for mates and family of the exultant couple.
I've just returned from 3 days in Brisbane, Australia!! I used to live there so it was great to go back. I always said that I'd come back one day, with a better camera. That part, I've accomplished. Next on the list, come back with a tripod! That didn't stop me from wandering at 3 am taking photos. :) I love Australia! Back in Dubai, already eagerly awaiting my next layover.
Frame grab from last years chicken coop shoot. I forgot about the footage. But finally I edited it this week. You can read more about the shoot on my blog. blog.domisljije.si/2010/10/31/coop-story/

I've always loved kids. And working with kids is magical, frustrating, wonderful, hectic and fun! Coming to work when you're maybe having a bad day and when you walk in those doors and you are greeted by several wonderful and smiling kids? The day has been saved. At least, that's how I feel.
I new in my early teens that this was what I wanted to do. And so I started at the University and thought "easy peasy". But it was not. A lot of ups and downs, a "i-want-to-quit-and-go-to-paris-to-be-an-aupair" fase and a lot of frustration later I became a educationalist after 3 years of studying.
Then, to this picture. The story might not seem fun or interesting to you at all, but I just needed somewhere to put my thoughts.
So, another day at work. Monday means the day that we go for a walk somewhere in our town. So today we went down to the harbour. Not to look at the boats (that ship sailed loooong ago), but to find the duck. Yes, a duck. We've been down there several times, and this duck always has a way of showing up when we're there.
So the kids started calling and yelling after this duck. And they are so cute, because some of them can't spell duck (we call it "and" in Norwegian). But still, they keept in calling for it. Nothing came, and time passed.. And then suddenly it came! The kids were superexicted!! But as it came closer they sort of freaked out. Anyways, the duck came near us and just layed there on the snow. The kids were silent. They said nothing.. And when we moved, the duck moved. We strolled down the harbour, and the duck jumped into the water and followed us. It was so facinating, and I've never seen the kids so quiet before! Crazy!
So, just wanted to share this with you (if you bother to read it).. LOVE the kids!
This ride was a lot more fun than it looks in this drawing...although Hammy and Woody never followed my car around...
For this shot, I composed it the way that it is shot because I wanted to highlight the tablet and to have the textbooks in the background because I wanted to get the point across that I gave up on reading/studying and I was now procrastinating and watching Netflix. The Chemistry book is set aside and the tablet is on and it takes up most of the shot to show this. The main thing that makes this photo interesting to me is how the tablet comes into the story. At first, the tablet seemed like a minor detail but it becomes a major detail and element in story telling in this shot. Again, I shot this with a pretty similar set-up in the previous settings because the lighting didn't change that much and I liked the depth of field in this shot.
