Stone sheep Ram at Muncho Lake, in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia.
It is thought that the Stone Sheep (or Stone’s sheep) are a southern species of the northern Dall Sheep proper (Ovis dalli dalli) which is almost pure white. The Stone Sheep (Ovis dalli stonei), is a slate - brown with some white patches.
A stone arch in the Gilgal Sculpture Park. The keystone is emblazoned with an Alpha and an Omicron (though one suspects this was intended to be an Alpha and an Omega).
Stone circle 24 m in diameter comprising 9 stones with a recumbent and 2 flankers.
Built over 4,000 years ago the recumbent stone is aligned to point at a spot on a nearby hill from which the moon rises at certain times of the year.
Very well looked after by the farmer with excellent access.

A view of the 6 stone coffins (sarcophagi) sited to the west of St Patrick's Chapel in Heysham seen looking north across Morecambe Bay with the Lakeland hills in the background. These stone graves are featured on the cover of Black Sabbath C.D. 'The Best of Black Sabbath' which was released in 2000
What is a "Donkey Stone" anyway? A questionable name for a questionable pub located in the Manchester Airport. Well, after 20 hrs of airports, security checks and airplanes, I was looking forward to an adult beverage (or two, maybe three) before getting on our flight to Croatia. And this was the place that Eric and I found - which was my first intro to an "English Pub" - complete with dark wood paneling, "fruit" (slots to us in the States) machines and overpriced drinks.

Its 2:30 am here and I've stayed up making stuff (yes, again!) and the cats are listening to Hans coming down the stairs to go to work. I couldn't get Pebble (aka "Snotty") to pose for a decent photo. Baker's have early hours!
We live on the edge of the South Wales coal field. There are always Iron Oxide deposits associated with coal strata.
When it hasn't rained for a few days the Iron rich water running from natural springs leaves Ferric Hydroxide stains on the stones. The next heavy rain will wash all of it away and it will reappear in the next dry spell.
