Space Shuttle Atlantis in 1989. I had an old Pentax K-1000 with a super cheap long 500mm lens for this shot. I would love to find the negative as this is a scan of a 5x7” print.
The primary payload, Galileo/Jupiter spacecraft and attached Inertial Upper Stage (IUS), was deployed six hours, 30 minutes into the flight. IUS stages fired, placing Galileo on trajectory for six-year trip to Jupiter via gravitational boosts from Venus and Earth and possible observational brushes with asteroids Gaspra and Ida. Secondary payloads included Shuttle Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet (SSBUV) experiment carried in cargo bay, and in crew cabin, Growth Hormone Crystal Distribution (GHCD); Polymer Morphology (PM), Sensor Technology Experiment (STEX); Mesoscale Lightning Experiment (MLE); IMAX camera; Shuttle Student Involvement Program (SSIP) experiment that investigated ice crystal formation in zero gravity; and ground-based Air Force Maui Optical Site (AMOS) experiment.

Stex was never a very patient man. throughout his childhood in Bruma he wold constantly get scolded by his dad for loosing his arrow to soon at a snow wolf, or his mother yelling at him when he took the eels out of the furnance before they were baked crisp.
Stex had to find a way not to insult this warrior known as Osferth that he was told to contact. Stex knew of this man, and telling him that he should be warry of a few orcs, well, that was just plain insulting. Stex tried to keep himself busy, listening to the bard sing of far away lands, and the deeds of this man. Not only was this man the supposed killer of Alduin, but the great hero of the north. of course the armor he wears is but a trophy, of the Legate he killed in his escape of Helgen, but it seemed to fit him right.
Again stex thought to himself "Ha! telling him to beware Orcs is like telling a Sabre to beware of a Skeever". This joke made him snicker a little bit, awarding him strange looks from the other patrons.
"Keep it together stex, Patience, Patience" He kept thinking to himself.
Stex looked around, and sighed. He made the motion to get up, but then quickly sat backdown. "How can I be be so nervous" Stex thought. It was preposterous that he should be so nervous to a Dunmer for one. Though he respected Osferth, his people were the reason alot of Nords were conscripted into the imperial army during the wars.
Why in the world was he so afraid to confront Osferth. Was it the fact that rumors were circulating that Osferth took down an entire army of Orcs? or maybe it was the fact that he was strong enough to kill the World Eater himself!? Of course, it was all of those reasons. Stex figured someone of that strength cant let someone say "Oh looks like you may want to run and hide, there are a few orcs who mean to kill you" and get away with it unscathed.
"How would I even keep a straight face saying that. By Akitosh what am I doing! I am a Nord, a Proud warrior. My people killed dragons as well! Whos to say that im not a Dovahkiin myself, well Ill never know since he killed them all" somehow Stex was making himself angry at this man for a reason uncontrolled by Osferth.
Taking another sip from his mug, He smiled, knowing that if Osferth was a true hero, a man of honor he would listen, and maybe he would be able to help him. Of course, the ordeal was a bit foolish, but it needed to be done.
"I got it, ill just walk up to him, ask him some questions, and then just spill it. what could go wrong" Stex thought to himself.
Finally Stex made up his mind, he was going to confront this Hero of Tamriel. He needed his help regardless.
