I'm not usually a big fan of tribute bands, but I enjoy good music, and Fleetwood Max performed an excellent show. Vocals, musicianship and stage performance were very good.

I have wanted to use this song for a while, I have been a fan of Stevie Nicks for a long time. Obviously I wasn't even a twinkle in my fathers testicles when Fleetwood Mac were formed, or even when they made their comeback, but growing up my Dad (not the biological donor, but the man who was my Dad by choice) was very much a lover of music, in my teens he actually became a DJ for local pubs and taverns and it was part of how he made his living. I have many people from my childhood that influenced my taste in music, obviously my mom and dad were the most influential from Rock to Reggae there was always something playing in the house and even now when I go visit my Mom she has Smooth FM playing as background noise.

I've always been a fan of Fleetwood Mac and when Tim and I met we both had a copy of Rumours (Rumors!) I attempted to draw one of the singers, Stevie Nicks, in my pastels, but until I get some more appropriate paper, I might have to stick to charcoals with my portraits. I didn't worry too much about accuracy here as I knew the colours were getting messy.
Summer is finally here! I’ve been wanting to shoot at this location for awhile after I discovered it at the end of last summer, but never got around to it until now and I think it’s a very fitting first photograph for this summer.
I fought myself for a long time on how to edit this. Originally I had it very faded and dirty looking, almost again like a few of Brooken Shaden’s works, but I decided it really took away from how awesome the water looked in this shot. So I kept the editing pretty clean. I’m still not sure if I’m sold completely 100% on it, but I like it.
Flickr also sucked A LOT of the color out of this. I'm very confused but oh well I guess. But press L to view it on black! It's especially good.

Stevie Nicks...The Wild heart....Listening to this now and it has a real 80's feel to it...Big haired soft rock...still like it though....This was Her 2nd solo album,the album reached double platinum status selling more than 2 million copies in the US alone...Three singles were released from the album, Stand back, if anyone falls and Nightbird...For me the standout track has to be I will run to you recorded with Tom Petty and the heartbreakers...Mick Fleetwood also pops up as does Prince playing synthesizer.

I'm sort of a giant Doctor Who fan. c: I fell in love with the sense of adventure, fearlessness, whimsy, and child-like wonder the Doctor's character portrays and there's just so many more magical reasons why this show has grown to mean a lot to me. I dreamt a few weeks ago I was the first female Doctor who was finally ginger!
Overall I'm so happy with this, it turned out almost exactly how I wanted. I wanted to make a photo with Clara Oswin Oswald's Victorian-esque style from the Eleventh Doctor's era, with elements reminiscent of "The Snowmen" episode, because I got a longer flowy Stevie Nicks-ish peacoat for Christmas I realized I could put with an old Stevie Nicks-ish skirt I've had for ages that reminded me of her outfit. The title is from Amy Pond's 'raggedy Doctor I remember you' speech at her wedding in "The Big Bang," which is one of my favorite parts. :)
Also, there were horseback riders coming right for me as soon as I finished shooting this and they were so pretty and it was totally the icing on the cake even though it starting downpouring as soon as I began taking expansion frames, hah. Such is life.
It's been snowing a lot recently and I've been working a LOT outside school and it just makes me want to curl up in a giant blanket fort with hot chocolate and my Playstation and never leave my bed. I get super nostalgic very easily in this weather for things that once were, and I can only hope that some big decisions that are coming up soon will be for the best. I'm so motivated to brave the weather soon once it stops being 2 degrees out with a -20 wind chill to finish this project, it's about time I finished this up and moved on to at least 2 new projects I can't wait to start. :)

We were sitting near Waddy Wachtel whom I do actually know, but not well enough to ask him if my sister could meet Stevie. (He grew up with The Cowsills.)
GYPSY 83 and EDGE OF SEVENTEEN director TODD STEPHENS, displays his Total Stevie Realness at the 6th annual NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES, 1996. Todd of course went on to direct GYPSY 83, the 2001 film about two Stevie fans making a road trip to attend NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES at MOTHER.
NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES is the biggest and best-loved STEVIE NICKS fan event in the world, one of those great New York City spectacles that sparks travel from all around the globe. Born in 1991 at the tiny performance venue MOTHER, "The Night" is in its 27th year. NOTS is the Stevie celebration ne plus ultra - a riot of shawls, lace, baby's breath, twirling, tambourines and great performance.
