My hotel room in MI was just a few yards from Lake Huron and the Sea Gulls were everywhere and were flying right outside my deck all day long. Therefore you will probably see quite a few more of these coming in the future but have plenty to put between them.

Stevens Creek Heritage Preserve, South Carolina

This shot was taken at Fort Stevens State Park in Oregon. To the left is the wreck of the Peter Iredale, the sinking hull of a ship in shallow water. I loved the contrasting colors of this view with the ocean on the left, forest on the right, and the yellow/green grass down the middle.

Visited Fort Stevens State Park on a very rainy day.

Wiki -"Fort Stevens was an American military installation that guarded the mouth of the Columbia River in the state of Oregon. Built near the end of the American Civil War, it was named for slain Civil War general and former Washington Territory governor, Isaac Stevens. The fort was an active military reservation from 1863–1947.[1] The fort is listed on the National Register of Historic Places." Was also upgraded and used during the second world war, decommissioned in 1947.

Over Stevens pass this afternoon

On Memorial Day we went for our first hike of the season in Mount Rainier National Park. We did the Stevens Creek Trail which is a 1.4 mile out and back that takes you by two waterfalls. One was full of downed trees and the other one you could get right up to. It was good to be back on the trail hearing the sounds and smelling the smells of the forest.

Well here is another image from a point and randomly chosen archive date. The date was August 2, 2013. This was a day I went up to Mt Rainier National Park hoping for some great wildflower action, but decided to shoot the waterfalls instead.

This little waterfall is located in Steven's Canyon on the east side of the park. It was a little hike down to the river from the parking spot. What really pulled me in was the clarity of the water and the aqua blue in the pour pool.

This is a combination of three exposures (-2,0,+2) merged and tonemapped in Photomatix. U did some "Dodge and Burn" of the highlights and shadows. I also applied a little noise removal in Lightroom.

Stevens Park in Stourbridge has housed families for many years. Dating back to 1282 when the hamlet of Wlfrecote was home to two families.

The park is now formed around Wollescote Hall, this grade two listed building was given to the people of Lye and Wollescote by Ernest Stevens in 1930 and has restrictions to use under its Deed of Gift.

The hall was to benefit the community with the provision that there would be no discussions of politics, drinking of alcohol and ball games on Sundays.

Mallet Stevens' office was located here. The building is a stone's throw from the Villa La Roche-Jeanneret. The complex includes a studio for the Martel brothers and entrance doors by Prouve. The office is now an art gallery.

A couple of SD40-2's built in March 1972 head out of Stevens Point with train 2 on June 9, 1983. Both these early dash twos had recently been repainted into the hockey stick scheme. 759 and 757 are departing the east end of the yard heading for Fond du Lac.
