I was trying something else tonight but it just wasn't working out, but I thought I would try to get this shot. This is the stem of an apple just poking it's head out of the top of the apple. I really like how the depth of field captures the tip of the stem but not the rest of it, along with parts of the apple skin.
Tweaking the fit a little bit; swapping the 115mm Groove with a 100mm Mutant (this is the Mutant that had a stripped bottom faceplate clamp bolt, but I retapped it to m7 and wedged an m7 bolt from another stem -- another short 1" stem, but one that uses m7 bolts and I'd managed to lose one. Sigh -- into it. It SHOULD be sturdy and not disintegrate, but I'm not going to head out of town on any longer loops for a while just in case.)
