Wilton Windmill, a short drive from my new home in deepest Wiltshire. Taken on a photo-bimble that myself and Mr7 went on.

 

Stationary windmills like this always generate such an evocative sense of 'waiting' for the next breath of wind to allow them to carry out their work. Then just as now we really are subject to the whims of nature (we've just got good at ignoring the fact....)

Always impressive to admire a harrier stationary in the air and perform a vertical landing.

 

My colleague asked me to take some shots of air planes as they arrive at MIA for the annual Malta International Airshow. Hence we first searched for a strategic position and waited for the arrival of aircraft... mostly expected was the Typhoon on (apparently) its first visit to our island. While waiting and chatting I tried some shots on any aircraft which landed, since this was my first shots with moving aircraft and a digital camera. Still lots to learn, but here are some shots.
