The circle dance was really helpful to get the kids together and working i a team, it seemed very team oriented. Trix @400. Developed in rodinal 1:100 for one hour. Semi stand. 30 seconds inversions at the start. 2 inversions after 30 mins. No stop. Fixed for 5 minutes with Ilford Rapid fixer

I've manufactured 4 stands and brackets for my Speedlights this afternoon from stock steel in my workshop. They have a simple X base made from 16mm x 2’ square steel welded in the middle with a 10.5 mm hole drilled in the centre almost through the stand but not quite. The vertical strut is 10mm steel rod; I've made some 6’ & 4’ variants. The bracket is a simple piece of flat bar (100 x 20 x 4mm) with a 10.5mm hole drilled at one end (15mm from the edge). At the other end a slight bend is placed 25mm from the end (this slips into the recess of the AS-19 base and keeps this square) and a hole 6.2mm hole drilled 33mm from the same end, all holes are in the middle of the bar. With a suitable screw this bracket mounts to the base of the AS-19 Speedlight stand.
With the upright rod slotted into the base and the bracket fitted to the AS-19 & Speedlight, the assembly can be adjusted to any height and angle from almost the floor to over 6’. Because the base is heavy the whole stand seems very secure.
You'll need to be able to cut, weld (mig, tig or stick) & drill the steel. Two sizes of drill ate needed and three sizes of metal.
Send me an email if you want a simple drawing or example pictures of the stand. These four stands I made have saved my over £150 pounds.
Of course other sizes or different metals could be used but I used what I had kicking around in the garage.
After seeing it budding a few weeks prior, it was a delight to walk the same local trail and find the Waratah (Telopea speciosissima) in full bloom. They are so beautiful, I could not resist taking a series of photos of this one! [Lower Blue Mountains, NSW]
