There are stairs everywhere in Dubrovnik Old Town. It can be a challenge when the temperature is in the high thirties and the humidity in the eighties.

Fans of Game Of Thrones might recognise these stairs as where Cersei Lannister begins her walk of shame and walks naked through King’s Landing aka Dubrovnik

Beautiful Spiral Stairs with light shining through the doors. One of my favourite stairs in Hamburg.

 

Wunderschöne Wendeltreppe mit Licht, welches durch die Türen scheint. Es ist eine meiner Lieblingstreppen in Hamburg.

Flickr is full of such images, each trying to capture the repeating sequence of curling stairs, some more effective, some less. I suspect this falls in the latter category, but there is, nevertheless, something appealing in the balance of the frame that arrests the eye a little.
