Playing along with #SSSflickerchallenge "Sparkle and Shine" - I used #SimonSaysStamp cups and succulents stamp set and SSS stitched circle die for the inner circle. The naughty little gopher is from #craftindesertdivas as well as the outer circle die.

for this one I use the you are so sweet stamp set
I got this new HA stencil and decided to see how many ways I could use it. For this background, I wanted to do something sparkly and shiny for the SSSFlickerChallenge#40. I generously inked the entire panel with Worn Lipstick, and then placed the stencil over top. I gently misted it with a Perfect Pearls solution, and let it set for several minutes before blotting off the extra water. It's so hard to capture the shiny, but the lighter areas have a pretty, pearly shine. I kept the rest simple, just diecutting the SSS "hello" sentiment from the background, and attaching it to an off white card base.
With the pretty floral background, I'm also entering this into the SSS Work It Wednesday (Floral). And since this fabulous stencil is new, I'm entering it into Darnell's NBUS #6 Challenge.

It was so much fun creating this card for the SSSflickerchallenge #42. I used the stamp set from the April SSS card kit. The butterflies are made using the leaves from the same set. I watercolored the flowers with worn lipstick, the leaves with mowed lawn, and the butterflies with shaded lilac distress inks.
This is for the SSSflickerchallenge #10 "Dots" using the SSS large dot stencil and the curved die.

When Barb Engler contacted me and asked me to be a guest designer on the newest Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge, I was speechless. Well, that’s not true. I was beyond honored, thrilled, and humbled and may have danced a little jig as I called out the exciting news to hubby. No drama here! 😜 The theme for the new challenge is FALL IS IN THE AIR. I was tasked to create several cards using an Autumn theme and at least one SSS exclusive product on each card.
------
While my northern friends and family get to actually experience the joys of fall, we here in Texas are still sweltering and would die of heat stroke if we pulled out our sweaters and scarfs. The leaves haven’t begun to change and we pretend to join in by drinking and eating a variety of pumpkin flavored foods. All this to say that I am creating fall leaves from a sketchy memory! 😂
------
Card One (of Two) was created using the SSS “Fractile Leaves” stamp set from the recent Stamptember release. The leaves were stamped with Versamark ink, heat embossed using SSS Ultra Fine Gold embossing powder, and watercolored with Distress Inks on Tim Holtz Watercolor paper. The pumpkin and sentiment are from last year’s Stamptember “Nuts About You” stamp set. The background was stamped with Versamark ink on SSS black cardstock, using the SSS “Ornate Background” stamp, and heat embossed with Clear embossing powder. It really is hard to see in the photo but it is a gorgeous tone on tone effect. I edged another piece of cardstock, again using Versamark ink and SSS Ultra Fine embossing powder, to create a matching layered border.

Been quite a while since I played with Ranger alcohol inks.. I think I got more on my hands than I did on the Yupo paper😂😂 Still need to get some of the gorgeous new colors.
SSSFlickerChallenge#180 Embossing. I used the Marilyn stencil to dry emboss the card. Distress ink coloured (Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers) and stamped Friendship text onto it. Once dry, dry embossed and then lightly sanded to highlight the pattern. Die cut flowers out of Canson XL and watercoloured them with Gansai Tambi paints. Wrapped embroidery thread around and added the Simon Says Stamp strip sentiment to finish it off.

I worked on a very special card for a friend who is super strong, amazing and fighting a good fight...sending her a card hug xoxo
I haven’t used the Ranger Adirondack color wash in a long time. I know I’ve had this product for years. I used a flower and sentiment from SSSDelicateflowers card kit. I splattered with the color wash in denim blue. Accented with a gold frame from the SSSframesdie set. SSSFlickerchallenge#127
