This is my awesome swap package from Ginny (Fishcreek Studio). The pillow is gorgeous--awesome details! The extras are great, too-- I can't wait to sew up an artist tote for myself! I got so excited when I saw the pattern and the charm pack on top because I knew what was coming. Thanks, Ginny!
On this one, I adapted a pattern from one of my books. It was not for a table runner, so I lengthened the pattern. I sewed the text prints and red connecting fabric together first, using the quilt as you go method, then stitched a single echo to either side of the seam. I cut out the circles, and used Shades Soft Fuse to fuse them to the background. It is a nice fusible product, because it isn't overly stiff. Raw edge applique on the circles....I can provide the name of the book once I dig it up again.
Hope you like these, partner. I liked them so well that I made myself one like the back one. I made them to coordinate instead of match, and honestly, I think I like the second one I made better than the first.

I used grey t-shirt material for the background, and lime green hem tape for the stems. The leaves are each appliqued, using the needle turn method, then stitched with black dmc floss. Basically, I adapted it from a pattern in the Zakka style book. Mama Said Sew red text print was used for the binding edge (hand stitched). Wanted to keep this one so bad. :)

Hey Partner!!! You asked for a bag and I was thinking Super Tote made with Heather Ross fabrics. Does this strike your fancy?? What's your favorite HR? Any pattern you like best....herringbone, qayg, plus, economy block etc? Or does HR on a bag even interest you.....maybe something else?

I'd be over the moon with a fabulous modern super tote, molly market bag or the arsty crafty babe style bag! I'm planning to use it for a diaper bag with our new baby due in Sept. & so sturdy as well as roomy is a must! ;- ) (and please visit my favorites for more ideas of my loves!!!) Not sure if we are to add small items or not but I thought I'd mention a few that would go with the bag. Diaper clutch, those pouches with the vinyl see through panel, &of course any other handmade baby items would be so sweet! 2IS THERE ANY ITEM YOU WOULD NOT LIKE TO RECEIVE? I am all set on machine cover, sewing mat & minis at the moment. Also not a big pincushion user. 3WHAT ARE YOUR LIKES/DISLIKES? I picked the bags in my mosaic for style as well as color & fabric loves. Love the modern pops of color with linen or other fab neutral & the sophisticated looking bags! Usually I love lots of patchwork but I think I prefer this one to be a little more grownup. I like the feather blocks as a pocket panel, herringbone, plus blocks are great, as well as just a beautiful modern graphic print for impact. (example:LOVE umbrella prints) Please no purples for me, small pops of pink are ok. I am a bright true colors kind of girl! =) Can I be really picky & ask that it be interfaced really well so it stands up on its own? =) No floppy bags for me please. 4TELL US SOMETHING FUN OR INTERESTING ABOUT YOURSELF. Like I already mentioned we are expecting a new little one to join our family of four the end of this summer & I am excited to be able to make fabulous quilty baby things! We do not usually find out the sex, so I get to make gender neutral or both boy & girl goodies! Thanks so much for being willing to make a diaper bag for me, I know it will be much loved!!!!
