We woke up at 4am to photograph Bow Lake and after that decided to take the 3 hour drive to Jasper and over to Malinge Lake and Spirit Island. This was a must see for me and was well worth the precious $$ to get there and for the boat ride. Enjoy!! VLOG below..

Without a doubt one of the most famous Buddha heads in the world and the iconic image from the ruins of Ayutthaya is the head entwined in the tree roots at Wat Mahathat. Ayutthaya was sacked by the Burmese in 1767. Although there are various theories nobody really know for sure how this head wound up as it is found today.

A great first day of lifted lockdown yesterday. A morning looking for adders and an afternoon watching giant clouds fly across the sands. A real spiritual healing. Watching clouds is such a wonderful obsession. Spiritual Healing is by Toots and the Maytals

"A Spiritual Meditation"

by Susan T. Reeves

Calm your heart,

and quiet your mind.

Listen to the rhythm

of your heart beat in time

With the music of your soul’s breath

Trust, and your heart won’t contest.

Free your spirit, let it soar,

Feel your being lift from the floor.

Let your body completely relax.

Slowly, you’ll start coming back

With such clarity of the mind,

Peace, to your soul will bind.

Awaken now, and be free

To walk your path and simply be.

BETTER VIEW

You don't need wings when you fall in love with the spirit of darkness.

------------------------------ JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------

7 Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so they might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH! Because JESUS LOVES YOU! ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Sometimes all you need

Is your own spiritual language

Sometimes that is all you need

To come home

I wish I had known this

A lot earlier

It would have saved me

So much time

Sometimes you don't need

To explain it

Sometimes you need

To leave it alone

But most of all just believe it

And you will know you

Were right all along

Sometimes the reason you ended up in a place you didn't expect to be looks at you right in the face. But sometimes we also need reminding.

Forest fires and the resulting smoke have been a big deal in Canada since early spring and we certainly encountered it on our recent trip west - having to change plans because of road closures and contending with a smoky haze that irritated the lungs and made us and everything in the car smell like a campfire. It was particularly bad in British Columbia's Thompson Valley and Ontario - extending all the way from Kenora in the north down to Toronto and across the border into the US.

This image is from the west coast of Vancouver Island - the furthest point we were able to go. A couple of things attracted me to this scene - the layers in the landscape and the taller trees in the upper right - the few left standing on the edge of clearcut logging.

Old growth forest is something to behold - full of large trees, large ferns, large sections of mosses - pretty well large everything. I find it spiritual.

Sometimes I ride my bicycle through the places of strange calmness. It will force you to stop and unmount and observe. The forest communicate on strange levels with the soul. It keeps your counciousness out of the game, leaving only the weird sence of spiritual experience...

That's a view into the cupola of one of two cone-shaped parts of church St. Josef in Holzkirchen, Bavaria. It was created by Munich architect Eberhard Wimmer and is seriously one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen so far.

Rila monastery, Bulgaria, a popular spot to visit, but it's free of the tourist crowds at night, there's a basic but cheap and perfectly adequate place to stay just outside the monastery. Unfortunately it's not allowed for the public to go up to the upper floors, where the view would have been much better.

Waddell Memorial Presbyterian Church is a Gothic building located in Rapidan, Virginia. I checked my PhotoPills app and saw that the Milky Way would be oriented right "behind" the building last night, so I headed over there in hopes of getting a nice shot with the church in the foreground.

I used the Pentax K-1's built-in Astrotracer to extend the Milky Way exposure to 172s, which yielded some good color and detail in the galactic core with minimal star trailing.

The cathedral is named after the 6th-century Hagia Sophia (Holy Wisdom) cathedral in Constantinople (present-day Istanbul), which was dedicated to the Holy Wisdom rather than to a specific saint named Sophia. The first foundations were laid in 1037 or 1011, but the cathedral took two decades to complete. According to one theory, Yaroslav the Wise sponsored the construction of the Saint Sophia Cathedral in 1037 to celebrate his decisive victory over the nomadic Pechenegs in 1036 (who thereafter were never a threat to Kyiv).

The grand Cathedral of St. Sophia the Wisdom of God has already been located in the historical center of ancient Kyiv for one thousand years. It is the most ancient Christian church that is fully preserved in the East Slavic area. Being born in the era of Christianization of Rus’ it became the cradle of Kyivan Christianity, statehood and culture, development of which was carried out under the sign of Sophia the Wisdom, which patrons the world. Saint Sophia the Wisdom of God, after whom the cathedral was named, is one of the fundamental ideologemes of Eastern Christianity. It is associated with the image of sovereign statehood wisely kept by God. The idea of Saint Sophia had been preserved as a basis of spiritual life of the entire population for centuries. The humanity can’t exist without this idea as a Christian nation, as a Church, because the idea of St. Sophia was identified with the wisdom of new Christian religion.
