played around to show a friend the basics of Sarah Moon style

Green Acres sounds like an ideal place but names can be misleading. To a passerby, this farm’s green and yellow fields look inviting as they spread out in southern Kern County CA. Green Acres Farm is a 4,688 acre farm owned by Los Angeles and managed by Responsible Biosolids Management. Los Angeles County began disposing of its sewage sludge by applying it to farmland at Green Acres in 1994 and purchased the farm in 2000. The farm grows wheat, corn, and alfalfa, which is mostly fed to dairy cattle.

Until 1987, Los Angeles dumped its sewage sludge in the ocean. Once that practice was banned, L.A. began disposing of its sludge on landfills and farms. "The city bought Green Acres Farm in 2000 for $9.6 million and then spent $35 million to upgrade its sewage treatment system" to produce Class A Biosolids. Following the Green Acres purchase, Los Angeles began sending 750 tons per day in 28 trucks to Green Acres, a 120 mile trip. On June 6, 2006, 85% of Kern County voters voted to ban sludge application in Kern County. However court hearings and rulings ensued. As of 2020 the courts and the state have not, as of yet, let the ban take effect.

There's something different about you

I see God's love in your heart

And He's making you shine

There's something different about you

Your whole world seems so brand new

You got God's love in your heart

One of my lovely followers asked for pictures in my satin dressing again, how could I refuse. Hope you all enjoy?

Another Danboard, I used a 200 mm lens. It's the same drawing and same small piece of paper than PvsC 38 (below), but it's another photo. I placed it in a different environment...

I titled it "Something in Common" because in French "leaf" and "sheet" are both named "feuille"... I also wanted to suggest an opposition between technology (the tiny robot) and nature (the leaf). Nature is everywhere, the robot is a fictive representation. Magritte might have said: "this is not a robot", it's only an image of it... =)

Thanks for your feedbacks.

Ben's Imaginary Friend

A poem by Katie Gabrielle

Wake up

And you will see

My imaginary friend

sleeping next to me

Made of paper

And of ink

knows every

Single little thought

that I think

Out the door

A brand new day

Imaginary friend

come out and play

Winter, Spring, Summer Fall

Imaginary friend

Drives me up the wall

Little square head

Don't you know

Look both ways at the cross walk

Before you go

Yellow Red and Green

Imaginary friend

Crosses and makes a scene

on a very rare ocasion you put a photo on your screen and when you see it you think ...."this is the one" ........as the original title ....something special

it ozzzzzes quality ... that happened to me with this one ...and it's not even a rose.....

Something is missing ・・・

Something very important ・・・

A shot from a set I've built for a short brickfilm that will be up this week. Enjoy. :)

So I bought this arch angel armor prototype panel, pretty nice deal from a friend. For those who don't know, this is a custom design done by a guy who prototypes a lot of EI, paraclete and safariland gear. I believe this panel is something like 1/10 in woodland marpat. Something you won't see on mass markets.

( Pencil drawing )

There is something that I see

In the way you look at me

There's a smile, there's a truth in your eyes

But an unexpected way

On this unexpected day

Could it mean this is where I belong

It is you I have loved all along

It's no more mystery

It is finally clear to me

You're the home my heart searched for so long

And it is you I have loved all along

There were times I ran to hide

Afraid to show the other side

Alone in the night without you

But now I know just who you are

And I know you hold my heart

Finally this is where I belong

It is you I have loved all along

It's no more mystery

It is finally clear to me

You're the home my heart searched for so long

And it is you I have loved all along

Over and over

I'm filled with emotion

Your love, it rushes through my veins

And I am filled

With the sweetest devotion

As I, I look into your perfect face

It's no more mystery

It is finally clear to me

You're the home my heart searched for so long

And it is you I have loved

It is you I have loved

It is you I have loved all along

WIT

These are three of my childhood things I still have. The teddy bear was given to me as a baby, and the other things (car toy and book clock) when I was three. I tried all sorts of set ups today and settled on this. Very little in pp except a crop and little contrast.

A dandelion in my back yard taken with a vintage Canon FD 55mm f1.2 lens coupled to my Canon DSLR @f1.2.

Something blue(ish).... no, I'm not getting married, yet. This is another dress borrowed from my girlfriend. It's another that'll be on eBay soon. I still can't get over my hair. Lockdown is shit, but the no hairdresser rule has really given me time to grow it out and experiment. I'm also still buzzed that it's still not grey. 50 soon and still a good shade of brown. I used to be bleach blonde, but that was a long, long time ago now.

Casual look for today's work

ABOUT THIS PIECE

...and Pony got something.

Reminds me of the BFG for some reason. What could be going on in that fog?

Trees at Inch, Aberdeenshire, with Photoshop Sky Replacement to introduce something attractive to this gloomy image. (The original intention was to B & W the added sky, but as you can see that did not happen) Not sure I love it, certainly don't hate it. What do you think? Thank you for looking in.
