I haven't done one of these in awhile and this one is worth it! Julia Jacklin is a really lovely Aussie indie folk-rock singer/guitarist who opened for Andy Shauf at Lincoln Hall this past Saturday. I liked her much better than him.

I photographed Belle and Sebastian, who I have been a fan of for about 20 years for the site The LIne of the Best Fit. I noticed this audience member towards the end of the band's set and took his photo during "The Boy with the Arab Strap" while he was watching from a nearby balcony. There was something about his style posture and the way the light was coming from the stage in that moment that drew me in. Anyhow, photos of the band Belle and Sebastian here:

It was so great seeing Lush for the first time. When they toured 20 years ago, I was in high school and they didn't stop by my small upstate NY town. I am sorry for posting two concert photos in one day but I loved the thought of Miki Berenyi sharing a space with Jarvis Cocker considering their amazing duet on "Ciao!"

I went to see Purity Ring again at the late Cabaret Metro show..didn't start until midnight and there wasn't a photopit that could be entered...lots of fans cramming against me but I managed to get a few shots I liked.
