It looks like a solar system with the planets revolving around the sun.

The Canard River flows through southwestern Ontario’s Essex county, on its way to the Detroit River. As the river snakes its way around the western part of the county, residents who live nearby, have built mini docks for their own recreation. I happened to discover this unique structure all aglow with solar powered lights.

Very fast and active aurora, G1 level, in a very cold and windy night. It was crazy, it was awesome. Hamnøy, Moskenesøya, Lofoten.
Solar Powered Leo cat is soaking up the sunshine on a cold day, he did turn over a few times, shot in North Carolina.
Backlit Silver Spotted Skipper getting its energy level up by spreading its wings towards the afternoon sun.
Common throughout the summer and into the fall season.
Today (25Oct22) we could see a partial solar eclipse from The Netherlands.
I used a 10 + 6 stops filter to create this capture.

Recently seen around noon in the Ahr valley with the sun high and cirrostratus clouds.
It is a light effect through reflection and refraction of light on ice crystals.
Kürzlich um die Mittagszeit im Ahrtal bei Sonnenhöchststand und Schleierwolken gesehen.
Es handelt sich dabei um einen Lichteffekt durch Reflexion und Brechung von Licht an Eiskristallen.

Solar, the sculpture Sun Voyage in Reykjavik/Iceland by the artist Jón Gunnar Árnason (1931–1989) was made of stainless steel in 1986. The work depicts a Viking ship and is now one of the most visited sights in the city.
A lonely road leads to the Ivanpah Solar Power Facility in the California desert near the Nevada border.
I took a photo of a grove of trees after the heavy snowfall -then just applied the solarize filter in PS. The winter sky and snow colors were most affected. Kind like black snow!

Met Benny on the pier who indulged The Pocket Rocket and I by doing monos on the pier so we could take photos . . . several times only just stopping short of the edge!

but here comes the one and only solar eclipse of today :-)
ok, it's a chandelier found in Casa Batll, Barcelona
Mt Coolum taken from east side of Mt Ninderry. It was another 3 am start to see the sunrise from the top of Ninderry but it was too overcasted and the sunrise was a non event. Slightly disapointed with the pictures we had taken so far we decided to pack up and go. Just as we were about to leave the sun light started to filtrate from between the clouds giving this amazing view. One of the ironic things about this picture is that the sun started to shine quite strongly in the area where the new Sunshine Coast Solar Farm (Valdora) is being built. Good spot for a solar farm I say.

Le Solar Orbiter, fruit d'une collaboration internationale entre la NASA et l' Agence spatiale européenne (ESA), a été lancé en février 2020. Depuis, il a acquis des données qui aident les astronomes à mieux comprendre la volatilité de la surface solaire et à prévoir les tempêtes solaires.

The Solar Orbiter, an international collaboration between NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) launched in February 2020. Since then, it has acquired data that helps astronomers better understand the volatile solar surface and predict solar storms.
Aided by its 10 state-of-the-art instruments, it is the most complex scientific laboratory sent by humankind to our nearest star. One of its biggest feats to date is having taken the widest high-resolution view of the sun ever achieved.
