Sol was founded in Mexico in 1899 when a German brewmaster took inspiration from a ray of sunlight shining through a hole in the breweries roof. Its rough beauty is filled with the charm of Mexican imperfection.

This small bullring was built by popular demand in the 1900s.
It still retains the typical white facade of the houses in these villages.
The bullring is also curious for its oval shape (there are few in Spain) and for being located on a rock.
Since opening, it has seen many running of the bulls, but nowadays such events are no longer held. The bullring was closed from 1968 and subsequently reopened in 1977.

Portrait of my niece Sol unpacking one of her birthday gifts.
I brought a couple of analogue camera's to test the flash with.. they all worked awesome and had this to test light first ... but decided to shoot some digital as well using spot meter and autofocus and shutter priority. I usually shoot all manual, but this worked quite well to be honest. When having to be fast this is much more relaxing.
Yeah on these family days I can test some flash gear... lol ... hope they like the results :D
I so wish I had a studio to do portraits... I rather like taking them, but not the smily standard shots, I want mood. And then it takes a while to set up light, in a studio that is easy, all is known in seconds and with experience no need to think.
