The most difficult part, has been social isolation. I live in NJ and we have been shut down with NY and CT. It's crazy in our states, hopes that we will get to a better place soon!! We are feeling the pain of much sickness!! Prayers!!

Quite possibly the most colourful tunnel in the UK, the Kingscross Light Tunnel is normally full of commuters and travellers, but I fear it is now very much like this shot of mine, empty of people apart from the odd one or two.

There is a person in this shot, right at the end of the tunnel, you may have to look closely to see them lol!!

The Jordan Lake dam has a large population of vultures who use the dam to roost and warm their feathers.

I guess being older is the reason but I really liked the 1000 concert.

Just having a little fun with a newly-emerged Monarch butterfly. Hope everyone is well!

MOMA is open and it’s grand. As much as I miss “normal” it’s pretty nice to have our museums less crowded. Enjoy while you can. God willing we’ll all be able to travel again soon and then we’ll be complaining about “normal”. Ha, ha!

Everybody's lookin' for something.”

Social Ninja Techniques 1: Avoiding small talk at dull parties

We're Here: Camouflage

(It's not actually necessary to make sure you match the wallpaper; doing this is almost guaranteed to make anyone back off)

It is interesting how birds in a flock rest to a certain distance from each other, their personal space. Even though, because of the angle on the foreground branches of that pole, you may think they are closer to each other, they are not. Of course, the phrase 'social distance' comes to mind often nowadays with the COVID-19 pandemic and if birds can do it, we can do it too. Give me a personal space of more than 6 ft, please. And wear the mask!

These parakeets were sitting on a slanting supporting wire of a piller.

The rose-ringed parakeet (Psittacula krameri), also known as the ring-necked parakeet, is a medium-sized parrot in the genus Psittacula, of the family Psittacidae. It has disjunct native ranges in Africa and South Asia, and is now introduced into many other parts of the world where feral populations have established themselves and are bred for the exotic pet trade.

The rose-ringed parakeet is sexually dimorphic. The adult male sports a red and black neck ring, and the hen and immature birds of both sexes either show no neck rings, or display shadow-like pale to dark grey neck rings.

I saw this guy waving from his window as I was taking a walk around town.

The hub of the rural community was the local store and gas pump. The know-all and tell-all of the community (and it was usually the men who had the time to sit around LOL)!

A look down Newborough towards a misty Castle headland, taken early Tuesday morning, for those not familiar with Scarborough, hiding in the mist is the old castle wall, though some early morning sunlight is reflected off the buildings in Scarborough’s main shopping street. The banner across the street was I must admit an unexpected bonus. Obviously still not very good at composition if I have to rely on luck.

Thanks for taking the time to view this and other images in my photo stream.
