The Cold War Gallery at the National Museum of the United States Airforce. An H-bomb in front of a giant mushroom cloud with the B-36 Peacemaker in the background. Looking back on the Cold War years it's clear humanity dogged a bullet and it seems crazy that incinerating each other was the plan of rational people. A rather sobering display.
Photo is a composite of two images. The first photo is a longer exposure to smooth the water upstream of the rocks. The second photo uses a shorter shutter speed to provide definition in the water downstream of the rocks. The images blended manually in Affinity Photo.

Fresh processing of another one of the batch I took a couple of weeks ago. Did this one sober - actually came out kinda similar to the 'drunk' one. Huh.

A sobering moment is viewing the list of the 1177 men that died on December 7, 1941 when an armor piercing bomb went through the decks and exploded in the ammunition magazine causing an horrific explosion.

A quiet scene for New Year's Day, I hope everyone is having a restful day. I spent the morning watching the film "Burn After Reading" and would recommend it, much MUCH better than the Coens' last one No Country for Old Men, which I thought was awful, no.. worse than awful, (To the Coen's' I want those 2 hours of my life back for that one!)
