Cross-country skiing is popular in the White Mountains of Arizona, though I rarely see any young people taking up the sport. Too much exercise and not enough thrill, I suppose. Here I had to ski along the road to get to some good rolling hills.

B+W F-PRO 46 mm circular-polar filter over tiny neat Panasonic 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 zoom, aperture fully open at 35mm. This lens fits nicely the GM1's miniature body. The only problem with the GM1 is its LCD screen which is too dark in bright sun / its lack of the viewfinder, which makes it difficult to compose. I have not put on a pair of skis in over 30 years although we live in Utah with the greatest snow on earth. We love to go sledding and make snowmen. Our winter has not provided us with lasting snow in the valley, it snows and melts within a few days so I had to take advantage of the powder in the driveway today. My daughter had these cute ski poles with her dolls' clothes, she crocheted the clothes the dino is wearing too. She has challenged me to stay working with the dinosaurs until I run out of ideas. Limits are so helpful in spurring creative ideas if you ever end up with a block you should put limits on yourself.

The west side of the Tetons. There's a mid sized ski area called Grand Targhee and this is the view of the Tetons that you get from the top of the mountain. I was lucky enough to capture the ski tracks and to get a cloudless day (because ordinarily it's a very cloudy area).
