Hiking along the Winnebago River between storms and blizzards, enjoying a clam beautiful February day. Fresh snow, blue hues reflected in the water, reeds glowing in the sunlight on the far bank!
Open running water in the creeks here in February is very rare!
It's tough to have the "winter blues" on such a pristine day!

Simplicity and tranquillity are good for the mind and soul. Take time to look at the beauty around you.
The grass here is cut and taken to the 1.2MW Wothersome Anaerobic Digestion Plant.
This alternative energy technology uses maize, grass and whole-crop wheat silage, grown on the Estate’s home farm, to produce methane gas. The gas fuels a generator, which exports electricity to the National Grid. This provides enough green electricity for about 1,500 homes. The waste heat from the generator is being used to dry wood-chip for biomass boilers
This is taken from the path linking Kennels Lane to the wood and Milner Beck looking across to Ragdale, Wothersome, West Yorkshire. Behind was the sun and ahead a storm brewing.
For Sliders Sunday, I edited the delicate blossom with an effect in Topaz Studio 2, plus added the vignette. I hope you enjoy! HSS!

Thank you all so much for taking the time to visit my stream, your very nice comments, and invitations.
Sometimes the simplest things can take your attention - I spotted this feather being haphazardly blown about in a pond by a light breeze, which was flicking it around and around. Several minutes and images later I captured it in just the right angle to get the detail of both the feather and its shadow.

The life of a potter. Simplicity, clarity, creativity, skills and talent. Real life.
Note that at the end of the process the fine clay takes the color of human skin.

I like simple things. Every time somebody came up with something brilliant, it was always a simple idea. The nature creates the world from very simple pieces. It is the need to understand of an observer what makes it look complicated. It is the tenacious need of us to understand everything, that's what brings chaos into our mind. But as soon as we overcome the chaos, once we finally understand the thing, we always find out it is truly simple. Well, we don't always understand, so...the chaos prevails...

In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity.”
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
An accidental photo. I had been trying to get a focus on something else... a wee small spider I think, but it just wasn't happening and the camera battery was just about to die. I was turning away and this grass type flower popped into focus. Snap! In the end I liked it better than the shot I was trying to get. Funny how stuff happens! :)
Leonardo da Vinci said it best: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”.
The way I understand it is that simplicity goes hand in hand with perfection. It shows how beautiful and elegant things are when they are not lost in the detail.
I have never been a believer that beauty is on the surface. Your beauty is inside of you, how you feel, how you represent yourself and finally how you express yourself.
We all have individual beauty. Let yours shine no matter what people think, do not let the social norm be your norm.
Let's enjoy the freedom from complexity, intricacy, or division. Get rid of the luxury, pretentiousness, deceit and guile.
Show the world your simplicity ❣
I like simple compositions with a sharp subject doing something, in high quality light. This male Spotted Towhee (Pipilo maculatus) (a favorite species) was singing in full voice to attract a mate; Species is monogamous and solitary; (Birds of North America); Audubon overlook; Baywood; CA; USA
