we had a beautiful beginning of autumn here this year - just like summer again - and it felt a bit strange seeing the leaves change their color in the middle of these hot sunny days...so i titled this picture of the leaves I found: "mitten im Sommer sind wir vom Herbst umgeben" = in the middle of summer we are surrounded by autumn.

this refers to a famous quote saying "Mitten im Leben sind wir vom Tod umgeben" = in the middle of life we are surrounded by death.

So don't take it too serious, - my free variation ;-)

MT stayed with his Grandparents from Saturday to Sunday this weekend. When I arrived @ the farm, after a busy day with the youths at church (two Confirmation Services, to be exact - lots of people, lots of smiles, the youths in their best outfits and jolly happy about the celebration - so fun, but also so tiering), they had taken good use of the wind and gotten an kite up in the air. MT was beaming with joy and I was happy to shot some photos of it all. Even though it was in the middle of the sunshine, and even though he walked farther and farther down the field. I kind of love the tilted look of this photo.

My sweetie Gaylon made me this beautiful lilikoi lei isn't he so thoughtful! 😂😂😂 Gotta love him, its the simple things in life that count! <3

Alex got a light that he can wear on his head. He wanted me to take a picture of him with it, but when it was on his head, I couldn't see him, so he put it on his lap. This is the result. We weren't going for spooky, but that's what we got. :)
