It's just that some ladies don't get this simple wisdom...
For those among them with a screen too tiny, having poor sight, or craving to satisfy their husbands, I list hereby the needed requirements:
- good friend, preferably a peer from the same town
- cozy cabin with a view of the mountain's higher area's
- deck chair or adjustable sunbed
- trusty dog, preferably retriever or shepherd
- a can of cold bier in the hand
- additional bier supply in the cooling
- proximity (or at least promise) of a substantial meal
Panasonic's pancake 20mm f/1.7 v.II at f/2.2 - 1/1300 sec (ISO 160). The GH2 body and this pancake lens in combination push you to use shorter shutter speeds because they both lack image stabilization.

it's my fav place to eat. "simple things". they put sheets of kraft instead of table-cloth and give you a pencil, so you can draw while waiting for your dinner:)

I've worn the first one SO much and I'm glad to have another in different colors... I was considering giving it away, but nope, it's mine! I *love* it. This yarn is nummy.
Heart shaped bokeh was created using a heart shaped cover on the lens with flash on. Bokeh was from the reflection of the flash on the rain drops. Bokeh not photoshoped. Only color and tune were adjusted.
yesterday we took some medical supplies, clothes, shoes and toys up to a poor area of the island. i was told of an extremely needy family who have 11 children and so we put together some things especially for them. i went to visit this family, and they welcomed me to their very humble home: no electricity or running water. just a shack really.
one of the things we brought were simple black shoes. the kids wear these to school as part of their uniform. when i brought out 4 pairs of shoes one of the girls was so very excited. her mom told us through a translator that she didn't have black shoes to wear to school and had cried the past few mornings. it was exactly what she needed.
later on she came down to the clinic (really it was a school that we used to meet their needs) wearing the things I had brought for her. she walked right up to me and smiled so sweetly. she looked down at her feet. i knew at that point that i need to photograph them. they are dusty from the walk down the gravel road but the shine is still there.....
it speaks of hope. of getting our needs met. of simple things. of being cared for.
