Shot this photograph of St Mary's Lighthouse on Sunday the 20th of March. What was interesting when shooting was the black guys in the water on the causeway making a music video. That water had to be freezing.
I'm entering this photo into 'Shine a light' contest as this squirrel brought so much light and happiness into my life while I was stuck at home during these difficult times due to COVID19. I photographed this squirrel from my home office window. He was always there on the fence to cheer me up!
Red Mexican Bird of Paradise Flower Head. Dedicated macro lens. My back porch. No crop. No post processing.
corona vacation - alone in the forest :-)
Near Bad Schandau (Saxon Switzerland) in the morning... but after breakfast ;-)
Lockdown provided a chance to spend more time with my little cat Penny. Whether she's joining a telecon, lazing on the bed all day or pretending to be a tiger, we're very lucky to have her!

Long walks, that's good. Even if it is sometimes only in the company of my own shadow ;-) A field walk. A little beefed up for more optimism, freshness and sunshine with "35% Pastel 8 Hues". So you can survive this time of the pandemic and isolation a little happier :-)

I wish you a happy first Sunday in Advent ;-) / Ich wünsche Euch einen schönen 1. Advent - and for everyone here who does not celebrate Advent: I wish you a very happy Sunday ;-)))
"Outtake" from The Macro Monday "Mysterious" theme. This is the same illuminated Christmas ball that made it to the final MM-photo, but I didn't find this capture mysterious enough, nice for Advent, however ;-).
The ball is about 12 cm / 4,72 inches in diameter and is illuminated by white fairy lights (a chain of lights with approximately 36 tiny bulbs, each bulb is as small as 1 cm / 0,39 inches, the visible part is roughly 5 mm / 0,19 inches long), shot in front of an endless light tea light holder.
By the way the caption is not meant as a comment about the "Beatles/Beetles" MM theme nor am I an ardent fan of The Stones, I just liked it ;-).
Now thank you for reading, enjoy your weekend ;-))) !
Open-air concert at Doubravka Castle in Teplice, Czech Republic. One of the first event after the covid restrictions.
Do you have any big plans for the weekend? We personally don’t have anything major in plans but we will do something small and interesting. So until we come back with some new images, hopefully, I had to post some new work from Chicago. This is a frame from a few weeks back when the evening was nothing short of a magical. We even got to capture the amazing “Union Pacific” Engine. What do you think?
