Shelving Rock Falls has been on my list for awhile, and I finally got around to photographing them yesterday.

Pages 1 and 2 are the contents and 'Home' divider, respectively, and will be available in the final Issuu catalogue when I upload it. They're not important.

This, page 3, is quite important. It's got shelving, chairs and even a divider. All underneath a fancy scene featuring some of that furniture. Yay!

FYI. the prices are in Kroner - probably Danish Kroner - so just divide the numbers by 10 and you'll get a rough estimate of the prices in GBP. And yes, they are quite expensive pieces.

Okay, counting the number of crates in my Flickrstream, I think this can now count as a fetish. Via Design*Sponge.

Yet another section of shelving being removed from service at the Jonesboro Kmart. The already decommissioned pharmacy can be seen on the other side, in the right of the photo.

Empty racks and shelving such as seen here were starting to pile up in a few areas of the store. Perhaps they were just a bit late in getting the fixture sale going for whatever reason. Or as proposed before, all the fixtures had already been spoken for in this particular closing Kmart location.

This is a large shelving unit my wife and I designed, and I built, two years ago. The shelves are constructed like airplane wings—thin skins of plywood over a rib-like structure. The entire unit weighs a bit over 100 pounds and is held on the wall by three French cleats behind the back panel.

I totally copped this idea from something I favorited on here. They used fruit boxes, and I used wooden crates and painted the insides. I wanted shelving above my bed, but I wanted something boxlike, and for it to be low in cost. So I picked up two crates from Michael's craft store for about $7 each. They're hanging above my bed, so hopefully, they won't fall in the middle of the night or anything. I'm really growing tired of this weird blue color I picked out. I meant it to be a bit more green. But whatever, I can deal. I'm only living with it until August 2008, haha.

A lot of the shelving and fixturing at this JCPenney had already been spoken for at this early stage of the liquidation, though many smaller items were still up for grabs. Doubtful they ended up selling anything with the JCPenney logo on it, unless it was that short-lived, all lowercase logo they would like to pretend never happened!

much needed, as the kitchen doesn't have a lot in the way of storage. we have one drawer. and here's something strange... the digital clock on the crappy old stove -- it ticks. figure that one out. 08.01.08
