The 2019 model is the first RDX to be entirely designed, developed, and manufactured in the United States. Development was done by the R&D team in Raymond, Ohio; it was styled at the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, California; the 2.0-liter engine is produced in Anna, Ohio; the 10-speed transmission hails from Tallapoosa, Georgia; and final assembly will be completed in East Liberty, Ohio.

The NSX Concept showcases the next-generation NSX supercar's styling and design, including a look at one possible direction for the interior design. The NSX Concept is based on the expected underpinnings of the sports car Acura will bring to market in 2015. Highlighted by clean, modern, simple surfacing and edgy details, the car's design communicates supercar attitude and a high-tech feel.
With the aim of delivering a new sports car experience that combines next-generation supercar dynamic capabilities with advanced environmental performance, the Acura NSX will be powered by a mid-mounted, direct-injected V-6 engine mated to Acura's Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) system.
Acura Sport Hybrid SH-AWD is an all-new, three-motor high-performance hybrid system that combines torque vectoring all-wheel drive with advanced hybrid efficiency through the use of three electric motors, one integrated with the V-6 engine and two driving the front wheels, along with an all-new dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The system enables instant delivery of negative or positive torque to the front wheels during cornering to achieve a new level of driving performance unparalleled by current AWD systems.
Consistent with the spirit of the original NSX, the NSX Concept is designed to support the psychological and emotional aspects of driving a supercar at the limit. With the new NSX, Acura is devoted to delivering on the synergy between man and machine, the core theme of all Acura products.

Honda NSX SH-AWD Concept Car (Istanbul Autoshow 2015)
The new concept retained a 2-door coupe, mid-engine layout but with all-wheel drive. The use of a high-tech platform made from lightweight materials permitted weight to be kept down. Power came from a V6 mounted behind the cockpit, sending its output to the rear wheels. Acura's SH-AWD incorporates one electric motor in a dual-clutch transmission to augment the thermal engine thus forming a hybrid setup.
