and old shared-space alley. you'd think that these alleys would be sketchy, since the neighborhood's the diciest in all Canada -- but no, not really.

My lovely husband of the night, Dracula, in our shared home office/art studio. We have quite a bit of clutter and a cottage sized house. It’s a constant fine line balance between cozy and cluttered and overwhelming. I love our shared space so much.

Ho Chi Min City today reflects its very mixed heritage: it is the most populous metropolitan area in Vietnam, and the county’s fast-growing economic centre. But, it still looks to the past, with magnificent French architecture rubbing shoulders with Asian street food and traditional temples, and reminders of the terrible legacy of the Vietnam War share space with tributes to “Reunification” under the current regime.
The Saigon Central Post Office is the most celebrated example of Renaissance architecture in Vietnam.

It must've been homecoming night when we pulled into Centerville on Saturday evening. The large square was alive with people.
Organized in 1843, the first court shared space with a store and blacksmith's shop. The first courthouse was completed in 1848 and used until 1857.
Until the second courthouse was completed in 1864, court was held in churches in town. (!)
That courthouse was condemned in 1903, the year the cornerstone was laid for the current courthouse.
The London Transport Museums preserved 1938 stock at Watford, sharing space with a current day S Stock set.
"Shared Space" is a tool that allows scenographers to create virtual sound spheres in any space in a museum. This new experience offers the public the possibility to merge more deeply with works of art. While wearing headphones, the visitor is at the center of every sound. Depending on their location in the museum, the visitor can focus on a specific sound, story, or sound texture. In this way, senses other than sight, may be aroused and stimulated.
We have spent the past 4 days at our Bernese National Specialty. National Specialties are a lot of fun for me but there is usually lots of down time for the dogs. So, for this week's challenge, Bosley and Rundle demonstrate their dog show version of sharing. Lots of time spent together, relaxing in the x-pen under the shade tent.

And don't worry, we still have all the letterpress equipment, we're just keeping it at our old location for the time being (it's a little difficult to bring a 4,000 press up this flight of stairs over here).

Mott-Regent Public Schools recently welcomed the community into their new School Addition, at a dedication ceremony on August 29. They retired their 1916 Elementary School as part of Homecoming Festivities.
Consolidated Construction was hired by Mott-Regent School for their $8.7 million project. The project included a new two-story elementary school to replace the 107-year-old current building and upgrades to the existing high school.
The new elementary school includes shared spaces with the existing high school, including a new cafeteria, kitchen, common area, and library. The high school received a new ITV room and a renovated special education room. The new campus also has centralized administration offices and a centralized mechanical room.
