Hildebrandt's starling is found in Kenya and Tanzania, Its habitat is open woodland and open thornbrush country. Watched these two for a while, The bird being fed seemed large for a "baby" so, assumed they were simply sharing??

These days, when I look outside in the morning, I see several deer and up to 50 turkeys waiting for the deer chow, corn, and sunflower seed that I put out for them. On relatively nice days, they may not show up at all or quickly eat what I put out and move on. But, when it is cold and/or snowing they hang around or come back to see what they can find. That's what these two deer did yesterday afternoon. I believe they are a young doe and her "baby" from last summer.

I read the 7DWF Crazy Tuesday Theme: "Time to Share".

And I thought it's time to share our two new cats ;-))

So .......this is "Dubh", which means "black" in old Irish, (correct me if I'm wrong, found it on the internet ). Luckily he is (already) taller, but it's still hard to see who is who ;-))

** It's that time again to go into the Wolds and watch the Marbled White butterflies at play. This one has the company of a Burnet moth . There is a large colony in the Yorkshire Wildlife trust site near Goodmanham .

The marbled white is a distinctive, medium-sized, white butterfly, with black-chequered markings. Adults are on the wing in the summer, from June to August. Strong colonies can be found on warm, species-rich chalk and limestone grasslands, but woodland rides, railways cuttings and road verges are also frequented. The adults can often be seen feeding on purple flowers, such as field scabious, common knapweed and wild marjoram. The caterpillars feed on a variety of grasses, but red fescue is especially important.
