"Wash away my troubles, wash away my pain, with the rain in Shambala." - 3 Dog Night

affettuosa con le persone e brava con Luna --> flic.kr/p/2mYmi5e

Thank you everyone who has taken the time to view, fave or comment on my photo. It is very much appreciated.

The BW rendition of this scene was quite handsome, but if I am going to progress along my chosen new path of Color I must steer away from monotone and stay true to my pursuit.

My other new interest is in Digicam photography with their alluring buttery colors which are so nicely produced by their CCD sensors.

While shooting in this location I was impressed how the light was bouncing around and the Three dog night "Shambala" came to mind. "How does your light shine - In the halls of Shambala?'

Have a great weekend my friends.....

Another Shambala, another kids field entrance!

Finished arch 16ft high! luckily the wind dropped down so we could put it up.

Feek and Dicy on the lettering with a big woodworking hand from welsh Dave!

Normally I dislike having my photo taken . . . but this was rather special, taken in the 1980s at "Tippi" Hedren's ranch in California.

Courage: courage is not the absence of fear and despair, but the strength to conquer them.

Today's story and sketch "by me" we see Wylie Gofish as he is approaching the Shambala Resort. Wylie built the

resort nearly a thousand years ago here just outside of Tijuana. It was quite by accident that Wylie settled

here in Sunny Mexico, the accident (wreck) occurred after Wylie had left his Lippo Moon (the Blue Moon) Galaxy

Glider, in Neutral while he was off in the hills searching for what his "Qwablametter" had screeched that there was

a super Moon Pie filling somewhere close by. But while he was off in the hills just to the East of where we see

him in today's sketch. He did find the source of the Qwablametter screech, but Wylie not having ever encountered

bee's, a bee hive, or the bee's real nasty disposition, when some one is taking their home out of a tree, well let's

just say the chase was on, Wylie ran screaming in a loud (loud as a Gofish from Lippo can scream), and ran, and ran.

Now covered in bee stings and eighteen miles from the beach where he had left the glider (in neutral hover), Always

a mistake when there is an approaching "severe weather system" and on this day it was an "El Nasty Diablo Monsoono".

As he was walking back with the hive, (the bees gave up after fourteen miles) and started a new hive at that spot,

as the storm got worse and worse, he found a nice cave to share with a family of Coyote's, the coyote family seemed

more afraid of the storm than a four foot tall grey alien. It was that day that Wylie learned to communicate in Coyote,

with snarls and grunts. And from that day forward they thought of Wylie as one of there own, he was grey and spoke perfect

coyote. Wylie and his coyote friends walked the seventeen miles back to where the Glider should have been,

(should have), but was nowhere to be seen, but as he looked out over the vast ocean, just a bit of it could be seen

bobbing on the surface, just before it sank completely below the waves. Now with no glider, no provisions,

only his bee hive and coyote family, he might as well call this his Shambala home, Shambala translated in Lippoese,

(Shite Bad Alien Luck Again). Resolved to making this beach his new home, he began first by developing the Golden

Honey Moon Pies, and perfected a better method of gathering hives, but that is a story for another time.

And he began building the wonderful structure known as the "Shambala Resort" throughout the galaxy, that is

once he was found, by the Lippo search for missing alien society, it has become a popular vacation destination for

aliens who like a nice hot steamy seaside climate, and the Golden Honey Moon Pies.

And now we must end this happy tale Taa ta the Rod Blog

a work in process, this stone is a bit of an odd ball. some sort of andasite. It weigs over a hundred pounds and is larger than life size.

Esta es mi primera colección de Shambalas. Que se ampliará, porque son tan sencillitas de hacer que no se puede parar.

Un poco mas y se me escapa del encuadre! :D
