Better not turn - better not look. But then again, was it perhaps better to at least know what was hiding in the shadows behind you? And then embrace it, take it in? Cypher used to do it this way but at that time she had been the only one feeding those shadows.
Now it felt she was darn alone.
She had been without her best friend, Hrafnar, for long stretches of time and that had always been perfectly fine .... but it was him she missed most at the moment. He ridiculed her and made fun of her. Merciless he would show her when she took herself to darn serious.

I've only played the Shadowrun roleplay a couple of times over the years. I was scarred by a crazy GM at Conception gaming Con. I love the Universe though, In my younger days I played a lot of Earthdawn which is a couple of worlds over so to speak.
